Anyone watching? The Sydney couple are never going to last. She’s so annoying, surely just on it to get on tv??

Have their ever been a couple from these shows that have stayed married?

I hold my hands up and say that I googled so I know what happens with Blandrew.

The USA one has had a couple of success stories. Will never forget Doug and Jamie. They have just had another baby.

BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 09/07/2020 13:30

Think I have my Andrews mixed up. I was talking about the one whose wife left him.

BedknobsNoBroomsticks · 09/07/2020 13:32

@LarkDescending

I think one of the experts on the American version found her own “chemistry” with a former contestant, and had to be replaced Smile
They make such a cute couple. His show wife was a bitch. Horrible abusive woman.

Honeyroar. How do I watch this? I loved on of the previous ones.

Honeyroar · 09/07/2020 14:22

It’s on E4 at 7.30.

@Strawberrypancakes didn’t he have a farm and therefore lots of animals to look after?

My fault, I’ve nicknamed them both now. It’s a terrible habit of mine to portmanteau 😆

Blandrew - quiet ex-soldier guy, seems v sweet actually, but circumspect to the point of near-silence unfortunately.

Abandrew - abandoned Andrew who Lauren ran out on so she could neck a bottle of meths down an alley undetected

KurriKawari · 09/07/2020 20:31

Johnathan looks too much like Tommy Robinson for me to take anything he days seriously.

KurriKawari · 09/07/2020 20:46

Haha at Simon's face when she says Polynesian for the twentieth time.

EggBoxes · 09/07/2020 21:36

I'm only part way through, but I think Andrew (the fireman) is the only one I would be happy to paired up with. Something's not quite right about his bride.

heysugar · 09/07/2020 21:48

@KurriKawari oh yeah! He's a Trump fanboy too. Urgh.

Egghead68 · 09/07/2020 21:51

Great episode tonight!

Does anyone else feel like the rule at the commitment ceremony goes totally against what consent is? I found that truly odd, that they said if one person wanted to stay then the other person had to stay in the experiment! How would they have insisted on this if one person wanted to leave and couldn't be persuaded? I think we saw this with John wanting to leave Debbie. It was clear this couldn't be enforced. The sports commentator guy was very forceful in what he believed about his wife's career. It would have been really easy for him to say something to support her without shaming how she was doing in her career so far. I think they are going to be on the rocks soon.

Honeyroar · 09/07/2020 22:33

Anthony is a bit creepy and controlling:

Feeling sorry for Simon being pushed into a haircut (am currently watching and haven’t seen the reveal yet).

Michelle is just constantly comparing herself to her twin and their relationship. I used to go out with a twin and it was hard work! They’ve already got a partner.

Simon and Alene are my favourites although I’m not sure how I feel about the whole makeover thing.

Egghead68 · 09/07/2020 22:35

Anthony is super creepy.

heysugar · 09/07/2020 23:02

I feel conflicted as I was pissed off that Simon was pushed into having the hair cut but actually, I think he looks much better.

That's who it is. I knew he reminded me of someone.

Simon has gone from zero to hero - but he's still a bit of a knob though!

"We are experts saw a connection of you and Andrew at the dinner party"

Sorry but who the fuck as you kidding! We ALL saw the connection when she said 'Pick me!'.

Honeyroar "And the experts keep saying the match will “stretch them” or “allow them to grow” when I’d say most good matches allow you to be yourself and accept/line you for who you are. However Debbie particularly didn’t seem remotely capable of even trying, she was completely focused on her ideal and what she’d expecting. I wonder if they’d actually told her she was going to have a Polynesian match? She even styled her inputs to the wedding as Polynesia - her entrance and the entertainment."

Totally agree, the experts are totally bluffing it! Of course people could be matched to people who are totally different to them! I married a man who is totally different to me! It took us a couple of years to work through how different we were, before we ended up marrying.

I'm seeing cracks in the Simon and Alina relationship.

Now he looks pretty hot, I wonder if he is going to be doing any switcheroo with the other brides! I hope not.

Italiangreyhound · 10/07/2020 00:42

I must admit I feel not respecting Debbie's wish for an island person was really wrong. A real case of we know better! How much nicer to find her a Polynesian guy.
