Have their ever been a couple from these shows that have stayed married?

I must admit I feel not respecting Debbie's wish for an island person was really wrong. A real case of we know better! How much nicer to find her a Polynesian guy.

Debbie is awful. Imagine if it was a bloke who was whingeing constantly because he's ordered a 'Filipino girl' ... we'd be condemning him to the freak cupboard!

Sceptical as I am about the experts, I don’t think they were obliged to find a Polynesian for Debbie. After all, what she’s gone for in the past hasn’t worked long term, so nudging her in a different direction makes sense. Just not in the direction of John!

Do we think Simon is a volcano of short-haired resentment waiting to erupt? I must say if someone forced me into a makeover I would not be feeling the love!

Debbie has her polynesian obsession is all cos she had an ex who was polynesian and seems to still be in love with him.

Simon will get his own back on surrender day my taking Alena to get a ridiculous haircut lol. However, the clip at the end of "lights out" suggested he's more than happy right now!

I agree poor Simon was getting fed up being bossed about. Not sure it is going to work but the new hair cut does look good.

I share the ambivalence about the haircut. He did look better and I take her point about wanting to fancy him. But I would resent someone who made me change my look in order to deem me acceptable. Admittedly I've been single forever so what do I know...

He said he would let her cut it, she said she wouldn't. So looks like she lied about that and to an extent he lied too because he did resent it.

I can't see any evidence Debbie is in love with an ex, she has just talked about the culture. I don't think there are any negative connotations of loving someone or wanting someone of a different ethnicity.

It's possible to love another culture or people of a different ethnicity without having any negative intentions.

Debbie and John were definitely the worst match in my books and I think the 'experts' should be ashamed of themselves.

But what do we think of Andrew and Cheryl? They look good. I hope they get on because I think they both had a bit of a crap time.

At this rate I can't see any one making it! Except maybe Susan and Sean.

I was distracted at the end last night - was there some glimpse of a future argument between Andrew and Cheryl? Something about her age?

I thought Debbie did mention or hint at a Polynesian ex in an early episode.

I thought Cheryl just looked like she was play flirting and laughing for the cameras. She just wants to be on tv. Can’t see her and Andrew having much real going on.

How can Andrew not have realised that she was 25? Also yes she is there for the cameras.

Andrew is seriously hot! He's far too old for Cheryl though. She's a really immature 25.

Thank God John's finally pulled the plug and doesn't have to spend any more time with loony Deb. She can get her arse to Polynesia now and pick out what she'd actually ordered.

If I see Susan and Sean kiss I will vom. They barely talk all they do is snog, and constantly snogging in front of others. That's why they are rarely shown. Do think her moving to what sounds like a remote place will cause issues.

I just can’t see the Andrew attraction personally.

Susan and Sean seem to be in limerant love. Very passionate and all-consuming but no actual deep foundation for a relationship.

I think Simon looked much better after the Makeover, but ethically I object.

He also looks like he has a darker side to him. There are flashes of something behind the crazy hair and comedy talk.

The older couple - the woman is awful.

Late to the party. I must be the only one who liked Simon’s before hair. I loved his freelance look. A bit rock and roll. I also like that’s he’s calm and deadpan. Possibly fancy him a bit.....

Debbie’s a bit intense. Bangs on about being an amazing doer and free spirt but the thought of someone out of her comfort zone freaks her out completely.
I couldn’t get past the farmer wearing his hat indoors. I know it’s old school but it grated. Glad they seem to have found love,

The impossibly gorgeous women are paired with fairly average blokes it seems to me.
I bet you anything they got about 10 times the amount of applications from women as from men. So they were able to pick some outstanding looking women and very average non-weird men.
