Gogglebox - how come they can visit family/friends?!

Random thought, just sat watching last nights gogglebox - how come they’re still allowed to visit each other’s houses (those who don’t live together on the show) yet everyone is supposed to be in lockdown and not mixing outside their own household??

We know the crew are in the room because of the odd arrangement of some furniture to make room for them, eg the Malones’ sofa blocking the door.

A friend of mine auditioned and she said the crew were definitely in the next room.

Crew are in another room. I think the weird layout of furniture is so everyone is on camera.

I also had assumed that the caravan was Jenny's. Can anyone confirm or deny?!
I love Gogglebox - and it is really funny - but the eyerolling of the men towards the women drives me a bit nuts.

I presumed the caravan was Jenny's too. There was a time Lee had gone into her fridge and was eating a dip, which turned out to be Jenny's face mask

Jenny and Lee are my absolute favourite couple - yeah I know they're not a couple in that sense of the word but their friendship is LOVELY.

Lee has one of the most hilariously expressive faces ever. I love it!

I also love the brother and sister, they have such a fantastic relationship. I live in hope that my two will have that sort of bond one day.

Possibly outing but I know one of the families on the show.

Things have changed since lockdown they cameras are permanently in their house now, never used to be.
No film crew come in the house it's done from a van outside
Social distancing is used and some families won't be filming together like usual.
It's not live they watch it, they are asked in advance not to watch certain programs until they film.

No regrets I don't think, don't really get recognised much more like recognise your face dunno where from. Their not the type of people to do something if they didn't like it.

The TV show they watch isn't live, they are asked not to watch certain programs and they then watch them for the first time to be filmed.

I think it's evened out by the women, there's a lot of side eye action and Mary doesn't give Giles an inch (imagine how naughty he'd behave if she did 😂) she reminds me of when you're in a public place and you need your toddler to behave and you're outwardly calm but inside you're screaming "oh god he's going to swear.... Or
.. Oh no. He's going to tell the vicar he's got a big nose".

I don't really like him at all as he's very mean to Jenny. I guess they have that kind of relationship where that sort of banter is ok, however it only seems to be one way as she never says mean things back to him.
