I hate the orange prison jumpers, wind me up.

I think Mathew McNulty's Scottish accent is really good! (Coming from a West Lothinaner Grin )]

Cass yy I think it's good too. I'm a West coaster Smile I even think the slips are convincing because its natural when people live in small communities but have a professional position that they slip between their work and their local accent.

Oops, sorry about the confusion on the door. I thought it was reinforced but I only watched it once and obviously imagined it Blush

I agree the final episode should be from Tom and Kate's pov ... unless it's going to be from a peripheral character who is actually important eg the HT or the other doctor.

TroysMammy · 27/01/2020 09:18

When DT woke up in hospital he said "what has she done?" But in another episode he said " she closed their eyes and they were already dead". Why did he say that on waking when he then said he knew what she had done?

CassandrasCastle · 27/01/2020 09:19

Because he's BAAAADDD

@TroysMammy it is an understandable thing for him to say. It is not so much a question as a statement. When people freak out and become violent, they will often say 'what have I done?' Knowing what they have done.

amaryl · 27/01/2020 14:06

Yeah, I expected him to wake up and say “what the hell happened” not knowing anything, knocked out by smoke

EnidBlyton · 27/01/2020 22:14

What about Simon and his point of view

MadeForThis · 27/01/2020 22:32

Loving it so far.

HesMyLobster · 28/01/2020 00:26

I almost want it to be Tom, just because he's vile. But he's just too obvious.
Agree that we were made to think it was Kate, then Tom, and now Steve.
I wonder if next episode it will be Jess that we're wondering about?
With the crash/ivf storylines, what if they're linked? Maybe the crash was longer ago - Jess was pregnant and the crash caused her to miscarry?
That opens up a whole extra possibility of a revenge motive from either her or Steve?

EnidBlyton · 28/01/2020 06:54

an insurance job, but they were not meant to die, t hey were meant to survive behind the padlocked door

CheekyFucker · 28/01/2020 08:16

@EnidBlyton that is highly unlikely with the injections. And nobody would ever be daft enough to think that being behind a padlock would protect them from a fire surely?

nibdedibble · 28/01/2020 08:39

They have a LOT to tidy up in an hour on Friday, don't they? Grin

CheekyFucker · 28/01/2020 11:11

45 minutes running time. I cannot wait!

MadeForThis · 28/01/2020 14:25

I think is going to finish with Tom being confirmed as an abusive partner. Still not sure if wife liked the girls to escape. His mother is clearly terrified of him. Agree that it looked like Steve was going to jump.

Did we see what the 3 tablets were that he took while he was walking barefoot in the forest. Was he reliving the journey they ran the night of the fire?

CheekyFucker · 28/01/2020 15:59

The tablets he took were just the shite that Dylan had on him - could have been anything. He didn't have his shoes on so I am guessing he was thinking of them in some way. He knows who was in the woods I think. He knows who Dylan is trying to protect. Hmm.

skidley · 28/01/2020 17:07

I like this but a bit confused, but maybe I should concentrate more and interest less as I dont seem to be able to do 2 things at once very well. I also spent most of ep 1 trying to work out where I'd seen the other doctor (hes in Gary Tank Commander, had to look it up). I'm worried for Toms mum - she was clearly scared. But no clue as to who did it. The twist might be that it IS Tom as we are all so used to our expectations being over turned, the twist might be it is whi we thought . I do hope it's not the head teacher. I hate dramas where the culprit is a very minor character.

Oh, what if Dylan saw Jess in the woods? Maybe Dylan was ok lying that it was Kate because Kate was dead anyway but couldn't cope with accusing someone who could go to jail for it.

@flouncyfanny WinkGrin

I think Dylan would protect his Daddy, no matter how mean his Dad is. He is a young man who clearly has a lot going on, but he would want to protect his parents I think.

The dressing table belongs to Tom I am sure. I do not recognise the bottles of smelly stuff, but the lining up, regimental organisation of personal grooming items fit with what we have seen of him. Plus it is not a feminine table, and is on his side of the bed. Kate is very feminine.

We have not pointed the finger of suspicion at the young cop. Both Dylan and Steve would be protective towards him, he is almost everywhere, but remains almost invisible. His girlfriend features quite a bit too. Perhaps he is DTs love child and wants vengeance.

Yep. We will be disappointed on some level, but I have enjoyed the journey Grin

Jess's statement said they had sex on 15th September 2018. Did anyone notice any other dates?

If Tom was honest about when he told Kate (night before beach), then that gives a clear timeline of shag, beach, fire. If so, then it was either a short timeframe or over a good few months to get into summer again.

skidley · 28/01/2020 22:43

@@flouncyfanny no, never seen Vera. I dont think I'll watch it now 😁

SleepingStandingUp · 29/01/2020 00:02

I thought the point was he did she the Mom drag the little girl back, he told Steve that, but Steve got him to falsify his statement and say he saw DT to set him up for shagging his missus?? We saw the flash back of Mom dragging her home, I assumed that's what Dylan saw too
