@BeyondReasonablyDoubtsLots

Yes indeed. I think there is a garden wall, but they could have gone over it or around the other way to get to the kids.

Toxicology screen would have been very informative as they would have tested for everything. They would not have cremated her either. Some of these details do annoy me.

Jess's statement said they had sex on 15th September 2018. Did anyone notice any other dates?

Was there a date on the cctv of her buying the lock? Or the receipt?

I'm still annoyed from the first episode. On discovering the girls room was padlocked, yet they weren't anywhere else in the house (that Steve could see) - why didn't he move the bloody ladder over? 🙄

Also why no interest (that I've seen) in a tox screen for Kate? So far we know she is on 10mg of prescribed by Dylan's dad, but she was also apparently on handfuls of extra meds given to her DT. Why have the police not mentioned the mysterious extra drugs in her system? Even to ask if she was self-medicating??

@Werking I misunderstood what you meant. Perhaps we best ask the poster what they meant rather than assuming.

@Werking that is what I said.

I really hope the questioning & insulin storage turns out to be relevant and isn’t just a red herring, because it has been pointed.

Also meant to say @thecatsthecats I think you may be on the money there.

He might well have seen the police man in the woods.

@CheekyFucker when @SleepingStandingUp said she (I’m assuming!) thought Dillon meant the police man, I don’t think she meant that it was Steve who Dillon saw in the woods, but Steve who Dillon @didn’t want to get into the shit”. As it was Steve who pressured him to say it was DT. That was my interpretation when I saw that scene.

@flouncyfanny I said a few pages back I don’t think DT is a real medical doctor, as that’s what the questioning led me to think. I really like your idea of him being blackmailed about it. That makes sense.

Ooh we need a thread two!

I'm going to place a bet on the classic 'last episode begins by spelling out what happened', then a breakdown of other stuff through the episode, without the baddie necessarily getting caught.

It looked like he had the insulin in an insulated bag. The little pouch thing he did up and put in his bigger bag on the morning of the murder.

I cannot think of a single circumstance when a GP would need to administer Insulin in an emergency situation. He would have the stuff to raise blood sugar with him at all times, but not need to lower it. But I am not a Dr.

@flouncyfanny I thought it was odd that he saw Kate on the same bus every morning. I do not know about medical student's hours of study in the first few years, but I doubt it would be as regular as teacher training hours.

Maybe he isn't qualified. His advice about alcohol was shite too. But there are so many checks in place. But he is a charmer and very devious.

He might well have seen the police man in the woods. Although if he had seen Steve or Jess, I think Steve would have let the alcohol charge go as he had too much to lose. Perhaps that rules out young cop too.

I think if DT was a drug dealer, he would not be in as much debt as he is.

@SleepingStandingUp Dylan's dad is the very 'cold' GP colleague of Tom who we saw being interviewed in episode 1 about Kate's mental health.

@CheekyFuckeri assumed he meant the police man

@SleepingStandingUp but was that all Dylan saw? 'I don't want to get anyone in the shit' - why would he say that about someone who was already blamed, dead and buried. It suggests someone still alive.

You have to watch Vera if you know any of the Northeast. The plot becomes secondary.

He knows who was in the woods I think. He knows who Dylan is trying to protect. Hmm.
I thought the point was he did she the Mom drag the little girl back, he told Steve that, but Steve got him to falsify his statement and say he saw DT to set him up for shagging his missus?? We saw the flash back of Mom dragging her home, I assumed that's what Dylan saw too
