Well, he’ll be able to go back to it come the Revolution.

Harry apparently loved the Army too. Another black mark against the Press in his mind, I suppose.

MissEliza · 28/10/2019 11:18

@BertrandRussell Grin. I also think it's a bit ironic that Will, the heir to the throne, has actually done a useful job which contributed to society (for about five minutes) whereas his wife couldn't combine working with being a royal girlfriend.

ajandjjmum · 28/10/2019 11:24

I suppose that as 'a royal girlfriend', Kate had no security nor could she ask for privacy, in the way that members of the RF can.

MissEliza · 28/10/2019 12:33

Fair point @ajandjjmum

SenecaFalls · 29/10/2019 01:32

These days (and in those days) there were/are more and more jobs that people can do without leaving their homes so security would be less of an issue. I think Kate did help out in the family business, which she could do without encountering security issues on a regular basis.

I don't understand why she should be addressing envelopes/ ordering party poppers while a nanny (who we pay for) looks after her 3 kids in order for her parents to become even wealthier Confused

Blingandrings · 29/10/2019 09:16

She didn’t have a nanny or three kids. This was before she married when she ran the gauntlet of press to get down the street. It was awful.

Myimaginaryfamiliarhasfleas · 29/10/2019 09:55

What on earth does it matter whether she had a job, didn't have a job? She's good at the job she does now, so clearly she had what it takes.

SerafinaPekkola · 29/10/2019 09:56

“ This was before she married when she ran the gauntlet of press to get down the street. It was awful.”

For 7 years? Why didn’t she just ignore it and get on with her life as Meghan is always advised you do?

When has Meghan ever had to run the gauntlet of press to get down the street?

MissEliza · 29/10/2019 11:25

Yes KM had to put up with a lot of shit for several years. She didn't have security and she was definitely vulnerable as she tried to get down the street with a gang of photographers shouting things at her. I think the press may have been given a warning at one point. I wonder what she makes of MM's viewpoint about her experience with the tabloids.

mrscampbellblackagain · 29/10/2019 12:06

2 seconds googling shows videos of Kate leaving her home and trying to get into her car before she had protection - it looks awful.

justasking111 · 29/10/2019 12:30

They do not get the security until the engagement ring is on I think.

justasking111 · 29/10/2019 12:36

A glimpse of the boys feelings.

justasking111 · 29/10/2019 12:37

Another glimpse

justasking111 · 29/10/2019 12:40

To quote Charles about the media and press intrusion

"There`s always somebody watching somewhere"

BertrandRussell · 29/10/2019 13:17

That’s surely not Prince Charles whining on about wanting privacy is it? Grin

justasking111 · 30/10/2019 17:01

Well here is a first. There was a MM article I posted a comment criticising the womens comments that were just vile. Along the lines that women should not be tearing each other apart like this. Now not sure how you report a comment, but it is telling that either the DM have no interest in people supporting the RF so remove posts or they encourage the fruit loops to let fly as click bait and bow to them.

I received this e mail from the Daily Mail

"We have received a number of complaints about the comment you made on article "Mother of Meghan Markle's ex-boyfriend Cory Vitiello DEFENDS the Duchess, saying she's 'sad' to see the royal face 'so much jealousy, hostility and bullying'" (/femail/article-7629749/Mother-Meghan-Markles-ex-jumps-defense-royal-slams-jealous-hostile-bullying.html), at 30/10/2019

Due to the number of complaints received, your comment has been removed from MailOnline."

BertrandRussell · 30/10/2019 18:00

That’s extraordinary, @juatasking111. Never heard of that happening before.

justasking111 · 30/10/2019 18:01

I checked the house rules carefully, none of them applied to me and I should know as the mod. on another forum for a number of years.

As you say extraordinary.

BitOfFun · 31/10/2019 21:39

It sounds like they will delete a comment based on the number of complaints it receives. Hmm.

Grinchly · 03/11/2019 23:49

Sunshine Sachs are getting to work, I think.
