on tv now?

OP posts:
bohemia14 · 20/10/2019 22:03

I only caught the last ten minutes. I now realise it was taken while they are in South Africa, when they had amazingly positive coverage.

Tom Bradby was sycophantic.

Existing not living? Step into the shoes of your fellow citizens struggling to make a living. Shameful.

I'm utterly disgusted by this self indulgence. I love the Queen, but a republic now can't come soon enough for me.

LocalHobo · 20/10/2019 22:05

I am not a royalist but I do like this couple. Meghan is even more beautiful after having a baby.
The only way they can escape the scrutiny they complain of though, is to be no longer supported by the tax payer.
Am I allowed to say that Harry grows more like James Hewitt each time I see anything of him.

maxbabi · 20/10/2019 22:06

Love them both. Mental health a theme. We need to care about others and ourselves!

SinglePringle · 20/10/2019 22:07

Really Local? He’s the spit of the Duke of Edinburgh and Charles. Colouring comes from Diana’s side - her sisters and brother have the same red hair as H.

Hey1256 · 20/10/2019 22:07

I worry that the queen is holding the royal family together and when she's gone it quite possibly may all turn to shit

Itsallpointless · 20/10/2019 22:08

I've never taken to her until now, after watching this doc.

She comes across very normal and genuine, yes I like her nowSmile

remember1 · 20/10/2019 22:13

I think it was a well planned out documentary on them but despite the obvious editing and planned questions, both Harry and Meghan came across very well. They obviously love each other very much and I believe that they genuinely believe in the causes they champion. It was clear that the reported rift between brothers is at least in part true but the press have run riot. The British press have a lot to answer for these days in respect to many stories and it's about time they were held to account for blatant lies and complete invasion of privacy of not just these two but of all 'celebrities'. I can only imagine how shit I'd have felt if my post baby body and mindset was criticised and ridiculed in a public manner.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 20/10/2019 22:16

I enjoyed it. I thought they both came across well.

autumnleaves99 · 20/10/2019 22:16

Can't believe the headline news on the itv news now is the rift between Harry and William in follow up to the documentary.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 20/10/2019 22:18

I agree that his answers about his brother were interesting! Overall I just for really sorry for them both.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 20/10/2019 22:19

felt really sorry...

colouringinpro · 20/10/2019 22:23

Me too

areyoubeingserviced · 20/10/2019 22:24

They are obviously a couple who love each other dearly.
It’s really a shame

TheCaddyisaBaddie · 20/10/2019 22:27

It was the bit were Harry was talking about Diana and if we knew what he knows then people would understand that got to me.

MissEliza · 20/10/2019 22:30

I think it was very daft not to deny a rift with William. If there is one, it's best to leave it behind closed doors and let it eventually heal. I also think that if he confirms that story as being true, it will just make people wonder what else is true.

Justneedaflippingtemporaryname · 20/10/2019 22:33

Existing not living? Step into the shoes of your fellow citizens struggling to make a living. Shameful.

This again 🙄
It's not a race to the bottom, FFS.
What's 'shameful' is a grown ass woman like you condoning bullying.

EleanorReally · 20/10/2019 22:34

I don't know why they read the tabloids, I wish they wouldn't

MissEliza · 20/10/2019 22:35

Tom Brady was sycophantic. That's why they asked him to do it!

val4 · 20/10/2019 22:37

It does not matter how much money or privilege a person has, if they don't have peace of mind what kind of life is it?

TurrettOnLine · 20/10/2019 22:38

Spot on Val4. I found it interesting

bevelino · 20/10/2019 22:45

@spinduffy, you say... “I find her insincere. And controlling”...

In what way is Meghan insincere and controlling?

sweetkitty · 20/10/2019 22:52

The two of them should have disappeared for a year after Archie was born, done the official birth shots, realised a few on insta every couple of months and that is it. Stayed out the limelight and enjoyed being new parents

CallmeAngelina · 20/10/2019 23:31

I think we were watching two people right on the very edge. Their one-to-one interviews showed both of them looking very close to breaking down in tears.
I strongly suspect that this forthcoming 'time-out' is on medical advice.

Wingedharpy · 20/10/2019 23:52

@MissEliza : I couldn't agree more regarding the rift with William.
By not denying it outright, it just fans the flames and keeps the story alive, thereby, increasing the pressure.
A better answer would have been something along the lines of we're both husbands and fathers now and we each have our own duties, work and interests so don't get to meet up as often as we did.
It answers the question, not a lie, tells us nothing!

I do wonder if they are taking advice from anyone regarding how to handle the media.

Poor Meghan. She really did have no idea what she was getting in to.

Rhubarbisevil · 21/10/2019 00:03

Gosh, I came into this thread expecting to read a tonne of Meghan bashing. I am delighted that it is not.

I feel for those two. I think they wanted to do things their way and it’s come back to bite them on the bum. They need to accept help from Buckingham Palace and to go low key for a long time. As a PP said, HMQdoes hold this all together. Charles will look after his sons but things will change in the next 20 years.
