The new series is back next Monday on BBC2 at 10.00. Anyone else planning on watching?

I think a lot of the posters on here would happily call a woman a wet blanket too!

I'm a bit puzzled by the OH's of the characters. Is Julia married still? Is her OH just a useless bloke who is fanatical about sport, and what is Kevin's wife and Amanda's ex supposed to be like? I get the impression that Kevin's wife just wants him to take care of the domestic stuff and Amanda's husband was worn down by her competitiveness. The reason I ask is that I only saw the second series (no series one on iplayer) so I'm not sure if I missed all this explained in series one?

I will also add that I've known people like Meg! They always crash in the end. Her energy and smooth talking sort of reminds me of Johnson from Peep Show before he hit the booze.

I've known of a few stay at home dads and the general consensus is ( from other women)
They should get a job , poor wife supporting them' etc etc. Not something you hear much when it's the other way around. That's seen as ' normal'. It can't be easy being a stay at home dad. People really do judge! ( you can't win really)

Kevin is definitely a wet blanket, but so is Anne.

Kevin is a sweetheart, slightly spineless, but sweet.

I’ve only just got round to watching series 2 and was on the floor laughing at episode 1. Meg pissed and everyone trying to calm her down was hilarious and relatable (I have been there with a new “mum” friend).

I adored the first series especially episode 1 where Amanda makes spag Bol but not for the (starving) adults. This has literally happened to me (it was also spag Bol) with a very Amanda-like mum too 😂

I loved discovering Anne's situation in the holiday house episode. There have been hints and references since the first episode of this series.

Kevin storming out of the soft play meeting but pausing to wash up his mug on the way out Grin

I've just started watching this on IPlayer - quite enjoying it.

it is totally "written by MN" TV show though isn't it? Every scene I'm sure I've read an AIBU or similar on here.

Does anyone know why series two is on iplayer but not episode 1 - No Mum Left Behind? It's my favourite episode. I love Meg.

Have just watched series 1 and loved it. Can’t find series 2 anywhere, not on iplayer or Netflix. It’s on Amazon but £9.99. Does anyone know where I can watch it for free? Thanks in advance!
