If anything I think it's better than the first series as they're all more in their stride. I was absolutely howling at everyone in the 'store' pronouncing its name a different way and also at Kevin's message on the Acton Live page. Agree that ultimately his character is too nice though - men like that particular archetype are generally way more creepy.

Yhe guy who plays Kevin is such an incredible actor. I always think he reminds me of James Mason. I have met 1 or 2 dads like him down the years and I think he has caught the characteristics perfectly.
They are all brilliant. The woman who plays Julia is going to be a Natio nal Treasure one day. Anna Martin Smith? Genius. Loved this series and the last episode had me in tears.

She is amazing in everything she does and has been for years. I didn't even know she did comedy until I saw this! Really very versatile.

Its nice that Kev isn't creepy and has a bit more of a backbone than the first series.
The three of them on the internet looked very natural ; they look like they get in on in real life and having a laugh making this I can even see Amanda smirking sometimes!

I'm in! I first clocked her years ago in Bleak House, one of those BBC Shakespeare adaptations that they used to do, and I've seen her in other things over the years and always liked her. She's done loads of theatre as well which isn't surprising as she's so talented.

Did you all see Kev in The Bodyguard last year? Totally different. Very versatile as an actor as well

Just finished watching the whole series. Really didn't enjoy the first episode. Loved the rest !

I must admit it did get better after episode one and Meg calmed down a bit!

Did you all see Kev in The Bodyguard last year? yep! Him and Julia in line of duty really threw me- fabulous actors.

I’m up to episode 4 now and have been enjoying them much more than episode 1. I think the writing was so OTT it didn’t feel “real” anymore. Motherland is funny because we can all recognise the people and the scenarios.

Now this may be a co controversial opinion...Kev for Bond. He is a ride when he isnt aong Kevin. He was in a police drama say a year ago. All nice suits and moody... he has something very hypnotic on screen
