New series on now.

OP posts:
IwantedtobeEmmaPeel · 15/10/2019 22:06

Oliver is smug and self satisfied, really fancies himself, yuk.

RossPoldark · 15/10/2019 22:12

Neil seems lovely. He has such a kind face

mnahmnah · 15/10/2019 22:14

Ben and the shoe stroking! So intense and serious. Defo a foot fetish Wink

mnahmnah · 15/10/2019 22:27

I have to say though, I’m getting really frustrated with how many of the dates applied for this show, knowing full well it was people who live and work in the countryside and are looking for love, children etc. Then at they’re not a fan of animals, or don’t want a relationship, or children.

Virgo1958 · 15/10/2019 23:15

I know Victoria can hear her biological clock ticking but talking about nappies on a first date!! Worried that she is going to rush into something. She's still got time.

dogsdinnerlady · 16/10/2019 07:54

Thought it was just me with the unkind thoughts about horse teeth!
The gay guy (forgot name) played a really unkind game, not surprised he got dumped.
Daft vet is getting on my nerves. I hope both those women walk away. He fancies the blonde one but has more in common with the other girl?Typical dick v head syndrome.

IwantedtobeEmmaPeel · 16/10/2019 10:21

Despite my comments about his teeth I actually think Neil seems a lovely guy and has hidden depths, his interest in horses is just the cherry on the cake as far as I am concerned. When Ben (shoe guy) asked Victoria if they could do anything to help like chopping veggies, laying the table etc, Neil very quietly said "mow the law", which cracked me up, but I think Victoria missed it. I do wonder if she will be a bit too overpowering for him though.

RoseQuartzGlow · 16/10/2019 10:35

Initially I thought Neil was a bit of a fright but he’s genuine, kind and honest. Actually I think he’s too good for Victoria who comes across as quite self absorbed. She just seems to want a sperm donor not a genuine partner. Most men would run a mile at being asked if they’re ready for children more or less straight away. She seems very focused on appearances and she’s a bit of a snob. Shoe fetish man is downright creepy. The other one who left abruptly is just an arsehole in love with himself and also a pretentious snob. She’s well rid. What was he doing there if he wasn’t ready for kids ? She made it plain at the initial meeting that was what she wanted!

RoseQuartzGlow · 16/10/2019 10:37

Agree the gay guy was game playing. I think Luke has lost interest by the time he’s realised his mistake.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 16/10/2019 10:42

David really got on my nerves, I can totally understand his lack of a relationship, even though his options have probably been limited up to now. I was so pleased his date bailed on him. He needed to learn that although he’s on a TV show where he’s presented with choices, these are real people with feelings and lives, not just accessories for him to play with.

George is also irritating me on that score. I wonder if the editing shows this indecisive side to supposedly keep the viewer in suspense? It’s not showing either of them in the best light.

There’s more on iPlayer with little dating profile clips. Strangely, on paper it sounds like Victoria and George are a good match. I wonder what kind of shoes he wears? Grin

RoseQuartzGlow · 16/10/2019 11:15

George is lapping you the positive ‘strokes’. He’s just desperate for a woman who thinks he’s the bees knees. Since both women are stoking his ego he finds it impossible to choose which one to go for. Unfortunately neither of them are going to want to be kept dangling. The 21 year old seems a bit worryingly desperate to spend her life with someone she’s just met. A bit of an alarm bell really.

mirage937 · 16/10/2019 11:52

Is there only 1 episode left, it seems a lot to cram into one episode given we haven't even seen the welsh farmer yet

I preferred Neil out of Victoria's dates but i reckon she will choose Ben and i think George wont end up with either or his dates

mnahmnah · 16/10/2019 12:08

I think they have saved the best till last! Welsh farmer looks lovely

IwantedtobeEmmaPeel · 16/10/2019 12:28

Yes, I thought that about the 21 yr old too. I know everyone is different, but I kept thinking she is very young to be settling down with someone so much older and settled and into whose life her own will be totally subsumed. I mean she should be out partying and having lots of sex shouldn't she?

mirage937 · 16/10/2019 12:35

I wonder what happened with the Irish Farmer Eoin who was in the original video, i dont think he would of been short of responses

mirage937 · 16/10/2019 12:40

We havent seen either Eoin or Kerry but their profiles arent on the BBC page so I'm guessing they arent on the series

Flowersonthewall · 16/10/2019 14:14

Ben and Oliver make me cringe sooo much, Neil would be the best choice definitely. Down to earth and genuine I really hope she chooses him!
I am loving this programme though!

Flowersonthewall · 16/10/2019 14:17

Oh George! Naughty boy
Welsh farmer....id move!

DogAndCatPerson · 16/10/2019 14:19

I agree that the gay dairy farmer got his just desserts by playing those two guys off one another. I think the young vet may find he has the same problem.

Oliver the Bristolian Lawyer was such a nauseating wideboy show off. All talk and no action. I like Neil, the Scottish stud fella. Ben is better looking but I agree, seems to lack the personality. I think she and Ben, the shoe fetishist have the physical spark but there’s nothing there to give it longevity. Whereas, there isn’t really a physical attraction for her with Neil but there seems to a personality match that could have legs in the longer term.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 16/10/2019 14:32

I did laugh when the Bristol lawyer turned up in his little Ford Focus. Is he really a lawyer or admin for a law firm? The two chaos at the window definitely checked out his car.

Shoe chap is trying hard to be something he isn’t, IMO. Dirty loafers on the carpet.

The horse man is the best choice, but I don’t think he’s good looking enough for picky Victoria.

DogAndCatPerson · 16/10/2019 14:48

Yes, the little Ford (fiesta?) was a surprise, wasn’t it? Grin

DogAndCatPerson · 16/10/2019 14:52

I suspect you’re right re Neil not having the right look for her though.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 16/10/2019 14:57

It’s a shame because I think Neil is the better match.

I loved how he brought her horses carrots.

PinkDaydreams · 17/10/2019 11:28

Shoe man Ben was caressing that boot a little too enthusiastically Blush
