Has anyone watched this yet? It is really sad. I've just cried most of the way through. I actually dont think shes ugly. Unique looking yes, but not physically repulsive. And I think she has such beautiful big eyes and many other nice features like nice hair and good body shape. It is so sad to see the toll the bullying took on her mental health.

Jesy isn't in the least bit ugly! I remember her nickname on the Mumsnet X-factor thread the year they won was Moonface- people are horrible! She simply stands out because the other girls in the group are so petite and she's not. Wish she'd wear less make-up as she's naturally beautiful and looks so much nicer without it.

bellinisurge · 12/09/2019 21:34

I saw her live when I accompanied my dd to a Little Mix concert. She was awesome . They were awesome. I'm not a pop fan.

SRK16 · 12/09/2019 21:36

Only watched half so far but found it so sad. She’s a beautiful girl, striking. No one should get that kind of abuse. Poor girl.

Redact · 12/09/2019 21:37

Jesy is beautiful both on the inside and the outside. It's shocking what she's been subjected to through internet trawling and that vile tweet by Katy Hopkins. Twitter etc need to crack down on this.

Redact · 12/09/2019 21:37

Internet trolls not trawling that was meant to say

ChicCroissant · 12/09/2019 21:39

Like bellini I saw her in concert with my DD and Jesy came across as very warm and confident when she was speaking. It's a good documentary so far.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 12/09/2019 21:41

What is really sad is how much she has completely reworked her appearance in order to conform to what is perceived to be "acceptable" for a young woman in the public eye.

Figgygal · 12/09/2019 21:42

I've always loved her look thought she had beautiful hair in X factor

She looks like a kardashian now

Sad

SimonJT · 12/09/2019 21:42

She’s nice, even tinier in real life as well.

As someone who had a partner and who has a best friend in the same industry it sadly doesn’t surprise me. People hiding behind phone screens etc can be incredibly vile, but the worst part is that it is so hard to actually punish those doing it.

Propertyofhood · 12/09/2019 21:48

The Mumsnet X-Factor threads during the series Little Mix were formed did not cover themselves in glory when it came to Jesy....

SinisterBumFacedCat · 12/09/2019 21:51

It’s so sad, I think she’s beautiful.

Hopkins should be ashamed of herself

MustDust · 12/09/2019 21:54

I can't believe on a thread about this documentary people are still commenting on her appearance.

fluffygal · 12/09/2019 21:56

Love her- people are so so cruel.

Dickorydockwhatthe · 12/09/2019 21:56

Its very sad and she is so brave giving this honest and raw account. Its a shame she has had to go to the extreme of changing her herself through surgery and makeup you can see she is still broken and this has definitely scared her for life 😞

keepingbees · 12/09/2019 21:56

I think she's stunning and she was never fat. But even if she was, what right does anyone have to tear into a young girl for no reason other than to make her feel like shit.
She comes across as lovely, articulate and warm and I hope she truly is over the abuse.

IceniSky · 12/09/2019 21:57

Successful and talented young woman torn apart by the masses for irrelevant reasons. People should be held accountable. Terrified about DD getting into social media.

ssd · 12/09/2019 22:07

Lovely girl and a lovely mum.
So sad what she has suffered, and her mum too, watching her suffer.

57Varieties · 12/09/2019 22:09

It’s awful, poor Jesy x

AngelsWithSilverWings · 12/09/2019 22:15

This was very moving. I had no idea she had been thorough such an awful time. I remember her on X factor and just remember how striking she was. Your eyes are drawn to her when she performs as she has such stage presence. She's always been the only member of the group I could name or even pick out as being from Little Mix. So pleased that she seems to have come through this now and is trying to help others.

Watched it with my 13 year old son who has been on the receiving end of nasty comments about his appearance. He went though a terrible time with bullying because of his teeth. It really affected his mental health and he ended up having counselling. At one point he talked about wanting to die. It was heartbreaking. Thankfully his braces have worked a treat and he is much happier but the bullying he went through has changed him forever.

NerrSnerr · 12/09/2019 23:42

The Mumsnet X-Factor threads during the series Little Mix were formed did not cover themselves in glory when it came to Jesy...

There are threads all the time that are awful about how women look. Duchess of Cambridge is to thin, other people being too fat, even a gogglebox thread I read ended up with their appearances being slated.

I can imagine that the women who bitch about people's appearances on Mumsnet are the same when they talk at home which means the next generation are learning from them.

june2007 · 12/09/2019 23:49

I think she ispretty I think the clothes and makeup she sometimes where,s can make er look worse. Does that give anyone theright to say the things they have, absolutely not.

bobstersmum · 13/09/2019 08:36

Watched this with dh last night and we were shocked at the extent of the nastiness she has experienced. I just can't imagine who these people are that feel the need to say these things? Jesy is and always was the most striking of Little Mix. I sort of got the impression that the other girls were a bit tired of having to constantly reassure her though?

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 13/09/2019 08:49

Im not a huge fan of theirs but she's always been the one that draws my eye in. She's quirky. I think she's absolutely gorgeous. Just not boring looking.

Also Balegdah was ICONIC.

FleurNancy · 13/09/2019 08:54

I thought it was very sad how she's created this fake doll-like appearance in order to try and appease the trolls. It was very poignant when her mum was saying she just wanted her pre X factor Jesy back with no make up, no fake eyelashes, lips etc. Also, I do have real issue with the way Little Mix dress anyway given the age and inevitable sensitivity of their target audience, not good role models at all, very much "you've got to fake it to make it" which is just wrong.

KurriKawari · 13/09/2019 10:07

Regardless of whether she is pretty or not, no one should be saying those things to anyone.
