Finally got round to watching this, quite enjoying so far although I struggled with the accents initially.
However Tom Hardy who I usually like is driving me mad, he seems so hammy and channelling his Bronson character mated with the Krays a bit too much.
Does he get better?

I say it was Michael.
Am pissed off at the cliff hanger though.
Loved watching Tommy as things crumbled around him.
Was getting mightily pissed off with that woman’s bloody heavy breathing on the sound track and Grace wafting around like a bit of wet washing.
How long till season 6?

dogsdinnerlady · 23/09/2019 06:49

It got a bit frantic at the end and I couldn't work who who killed Aberama. Was it the Billy Boy he was sneaking up on?

HiHoToffee · 23/09/2019 07:56

Jimmy McGavern didn't kill Aberama as he walked away towards the stage and the killer cam up from behind. Could be one of the other Billy Boys taking advantage from the chaos?

The dodgy footballer called someone. Would Michael have the contacts to organise this raid on short notice? Maybe his wife does. Killing Aberama will not help him win his Mother's love back.

That scene with Grace was annoying, I didn't mind the open ending too much. It was always going to be something like that.

mrssunshinexxx · 24/09/2019 11:49

Wow just watched last nigh so so good
Can't believe we have to wait til late 2020/ early 2021 for S6

Who ratted him out ?? The football guy surely too obvious he knows he will get killed

Alfie ?

Gina and Michael ?

Poor Barney the sniper :(

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 24/09/2019 16:41

You could argue that Barney was better off in the end as Tommy was going to make sure he was locked up in a straight jacket again.

Tommy used him harshly but that's his business. No one gets a free or easy ride.

I don't trust Gina one little bit.

pinksparkleunicorns · 24/09/2019 17:39

I'm not convinced Gina is even pregnant. Why hasn't aunt polly used her third sight to tell everyone the gender?

Binglebong · 24/09/2019 20:15

Good point about why hasn't Polly looked. I'm not sure she can face it if he is lying - she's close to losing Michael again.

Really annoyed about the cliffhanger ending. Previously each series has wrapped up a story and I much prefer it that way - looking forward to the next series but not forgetting important bits as I know I will this time!

Rivkka · 24/09/2019 23:14

I thought it was shit and I'm a huge fan usually.

Yaflamingalah · 25/09/2019 07:33

I wish Tommy would give me a free and easy ride - sorry Grin

Samcro · 25/09/2019 07:46

loved that Alfie was alive . missed him.
I reckon Michaels awful wife is a baddy and not pregnant, (although didn't Ada go to the appointment with her?) and the football bloke phoned someone.

HiHoToffee · 25/09/2019 08:08

I think the footbaler is a bit of a red herring, the phone call could just be him placing a bet on a match. The black mask gang was too well organised to be a last minute call, probably section D or whoever they think killed Ben Younger.

Good to see Alfie back, shooting seagulls in Margate Grin

AuntieMarys · 25/09/2019 08:10

The scene between Alfie and Tommy was superb.

pinksparkleunicorns · 25/09/2019 16:15

I wish Tommy would give me a free and easy ride - sorry

God me too GrinWinkHe is just so hot!

I wonder if Michael and Aunt Polly are doing a double bluff with Gina. Maybe they both know Gina is a wrongen and are actually on Tommy's side?

Chinks123 · 25/09/2019 16:45

Has anyone seen the theory that Gina is sleeping with Moseley? Someone pointed out that the woman he’s very energetically doing from behind before his speech, in the last episode is Gina. I’m not sure but they did share that look during the swan ballet.

Yaflamingalah · 25/09/2019 17:19

I can’t actually believe that Tommy wouldn’t have had Gina thoroughly researched - so there’s definitely more to come here. Also I’m guessing that the double vision lense in the Garrison leads us to believe Michael and Gina hasn’t left and we’re listening in.

mrssunshinexxx · 25/09/2019 18:13

@Yaflamingalah agreed it looks as though they were listening and would fit with their option B but Isit too obvious

Yaflamingalah · 25/09/2019 18:18

That’s what I’m thinking @mrssunshinexxx - it’s too obvious. There are a lot of theories on Reddit about Johnny Dogs being the traitor but I don’t want to believe it.

mrssunshinexxx · 25/09/2019 18:48

@Yaflamingalah nooooo

Rivkka · 26/09/2019 16:33

I think tommy killed Aberama to keep Polly in the company.

Yaflamingalah · 26/09/2019 18:24

I think tommy killed Aberama to keep Polly in the company.

Wicked but I love it! There is a cut scene available on iPlayer that gives weight to this theory.
