So happy Badison was moved near the start.

Morello’s baby and Red’s dementia was so sad but Doggett dying was just awful. I cried and then proper cried when Taystee saw her certificate for passing the exam Sad

The whole ICE shitty situation. Just awful.

Season 6 was so weirdly disconnected from the previous seasons that I forgot tonnes of stuff too. I’d completely forgotten about Judy King until she popped up towards the end of season 7! Grin

Did anyone else live the call back to Taystees adoption fair at the end when Caputo and Fig are falling for the confident singing child? That was Taystee when she was a kid, being over confident and singing away and putting the prospective parents off. It felt like they’d come back full circle and the next generation Taystee was being given the chance with a new family that Taystee never had

Finished now. Loved it. Apart from Alex and Piper getting back together, they really are annoying.

I cared a little bit about Piper, despite her weird Machiavellian tendencies, but Alex just left me cold I'm afraid. Sort of dead behind the eyes. Not sure if it was deliberate for the character or something about the actress who i know others love. Sorry. Maybe it would have been less obvious if most of the other cast and characters hadn't been so spectacular.

I loved this season the final episode was so moving. I cried for Doggett especially as she passed the GED.
Taystee is an amazing character! Love Mr Caputo. So sad for Red, Morello and the one whose name I can’t remember who was left in the desert.
Nicky is a stand out character I hope she meets Shani again. The ICE courtroom was very hard to watch.
I hope cindy moves back in with her mum and daughter.
I wish there was a season 8!

Agreed. She never had an interesting storyline either, she was just a robotic plot device.

If she’s been a bit more interesting, or there’s been any hint of chemistry between her & Piper, the centring of their world-beating love story might have been a bit more convincing.

Yes thats so right. We never saw her back story such as when she was a child (I know we saw her back story as an adult) and I do think the amazing acting of all the others showed her up. I actually think her and Piper were just too attractive and polished looking.

Did Alieada attack Daya at the end? I missed that bit? I did find Daya as a drug/gang leader a bit unconvincing. Her gang werent very threatening!

We did see Alex's back story as a child. He father is a C List rock star, her mum is a groupie and Alex is bullied in school. She goes to see her father and he's horrible to her and she meets her first drug leaver there and goes on to become one.

I like Alex. She's very dry and deadpan.

Started rewatching. Cant wait for freida to be in it, shes brilliant

No, lushchek takes the rap for the phones and Gloria gets away with it. She says it's the only decent thing he ever did also he fancies her

She wasn’t pregnant, she hadn’t started the IVF and she pretended to the doctor that she’d had a ‘Christmas miracle’ and got pregnant naturally. I’m guessing the pee in the pot she brought with her was either a bluff (handily, the doc wrote the prescription without testing it) or was from the lady she got the pill for (which makes sense as Fig’d had to have told her the plan: if you woke up in detention with a random pill in your hand you wouldn’t think ‘yay, medical abortion pill! I’ll take this ASAP!’)
