I'm not much of a crier. Especially at TV. But that had a lump in my throat

I was on another forum talking about how lacking in any personality Evan is- he's alike a plank of wood.

Turns out he's Eve's RL husband.

We were also talking about how open his prison is- people seemingly just wandering in to meet him through the woods lol

That scene with Alys was the only really good one.

The actress who plays her is very good.

I think Faith and Evan are such a good looking couple.
There is a lot of wine drinking in front of the children.

I've been listening to Amy wadge who's music is featured in the series. It's very good

Anyone watching the series in real time?

I laughed at several points during tonight's episode. The lying down on the floor, the boxing scene with the carefully arranged sexy shoulder showing, the water poured over herself, Steve punching the rock. She must have been so exhausted after filming this, particularly as she had to do it (overacting) in Welsh as well!

I am enjoying it though. She has got an earthy star quality.

That look of horror/disbelief as Steve strode through the (hospital?) corridor - has his daughter died?

I’m watching real time. I don’t like to binge. Think you miss stuff and don’t enjoy the weeks wait

Yes his open prison was very open

Glad he called TOM dad on the boat

Tho did TOM take documents that could have saved the lady whose husband got killed

And the scenes with the son :( by the grave. She was good there

And aunty selling the farm. She can’t do that. Thought was in trust for him

Hope they haven’t killed Steve’s daughter

I just wanted to cuddle him when stroking his dd forehead

Also felt sorry for Evan and found him attractive in a suit 🙀😳🙀😳🙀

This performance by Anastasia Hille as Gael is just awful.

I agree, she's no Angeline Ball, that's for sure, I don't find her convincing at all in this role. Amanda Redman would have been better! And just don't attempt an accent if you can't do it.

I'm otherwise really loving the series and have a big crush on Faith.

I am going to channel Faith at work. Not the writhing around on the desks or the high heels but the ballsiness!

Why did Angelina Ball not continue in the role of Garl Riordan ?

I don't know, maybe she had a commitment to do something else and didn't anticipate a second series?

Anastasia was great in Baptiste but I can't warm to her as Gael.

I find Faith quite realistic - but amplified and made more dramatic and interesting, sure.

I used to have long hair and wear high heels at work when the kids were younger, and getting her gown trapped as she came through the court door really made me laugh, as I have done similarly daft things. I made an exit - by opening a broom cupboard, one time. I have certainly taken calls at stupid times with small children in the background.

I haven't cried and rolled around on the stationery cupboard floor but have certainly wanted to. Cakes and wine have also been a feature.

Someone should do some kind of wine and heels montage.

Ha ha ha this is my guilty pleasure, have only watched ep 1 but it's so shit! Loving eve myles overacting to the hilt: now I'm a five year old rolling around the floor, now an angsty teen gurning about my really hard life (though apparently I've got a team of friends providing (free?) childcare and no-one notices if I'm never actually at work, now a shit-hot-sexy-lawyer in my fuck-me shoes, now I'm the best mummy ever because I can suggest a shell collage after giving it 2 seconds thought (but I can't be arsed to peel a boiling hot egg for my toddler)

WTF was the bath scene about?? I'd be horrified if one of my friends walked in when I was having a bath, let along gossiping like teenagers and guzzling wine (again) when the children are presumably downstairs. Definitely, definitely written by a man with some rather strange ideas about What Women Do.

Will keep watching though, for all her overacting EM is very watchable and the scenery is beautiful, some lovely camera shots

Watching in (semi) real time - I keep wondering why they didn’t cast an Irish actress in the role of Gael, the actress (who I liked in Baptiste) isn’t very good in this. There’s bits I had to fast forward - the boxing (irrelevant to the story?) and Steve marching down the hospital corridor

Just finished watching the penultimate ep in real time. I have no idea what is going on. Bit disappointed with Eve's acting tonight, very understated!

Last ep next week. Doubt I will understand the wrapping up either.

I loved last nights but slightly confused

So Evan and gaelle did have an affair by the way he kissed her

Yet he dares to be jealous about eve and STEVE

He /they killed the man found hence he turned the wire off

So surely black policeman would put him back in the prison

Evan knows the lady in the pink coat via the text pic

Why was eve in the spare on blow up bed and now own bed

Evan should have blow up bed

Did gaelle get Steve's daughter run over

STEVE and bearded bloke. Is he to be trusted - sounded like he was going grass her up in the hospital yet in the van said can they trust him

Did the son kill his dad due to affair ?

There was a lot of wrapping up this episode but i'm still confused.

Am however BLOWN AWAY by the middle child's acting. I think that was some of the best child acting I've ever seen and I was really overcome with it. What a fantastic wee actress.

So faith cant forgive. Good

Got confused over STEVE bit on the beach Was it as he lied to her she couldn’t forgive him either

Farmer wife did shoot hubby

Secretary falling for boss. Oh really a cliche

Shame paddy’s brother got killed - I hoped he was going to kill gaelle. Not other way round :(
