Not following it Confused

OP posts:
JessMariano · 24/07/2019 00:13

Yes Bit I thought she did the voice well but otherwise I think that will add to the general confusion.

2Rebecca · 24/07/2019 07:09

I started watching but turned over after 15 minutes because I hadn't watched series 1 and couldn't work out what was going on. I also realised she was the actress I'd disliked in Torchwood for overacting and always having to be right. She was completely unbelievable as a lawyer.
I turned over and watched Geoff Norcott on how the middle class ruin everything. That was good

JustDanceAddict · 24/07/2019 07:21

I’m glad I wasn’t the only confused one. I nodded off!
How far along in the future was it supposed to be? A couple of years? Alys seemed to have gone from young girl to teen very quickly!!

SinisterBumFacedCat · 24/07/2019 10:33

Kicking my stilettos off, rolling around with a glass of wine and place marking.

It was 18 months in the future, although baby Rhodri didn't look 18 months older.

@BitOfFun I'm glad you posted about the different actress because that was one of the many things I was confused about! It doesn't help that I'm trying to watch it in short bursts while my DS and his friend are out of the way but they keep coming back!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 24/07/2019 17:33

Isn't the actress who is now playing Gael Reardon the one who played Baptiste's wife?

TheSpottedZebra · 24/07/2019 20:41

It is Baptiste's wife, in a distractingly bad wig.

BrienneofTarthILoveYou · 25/07/2019 00:25

I'm enjoying it - love the house and the scenery and think the main actress is gorgeous. Totally ignoring any plot holes or inconsistencies Grin

LivingInLaputa · 25/07/2019 00:31

Ooh season two! I’m excited although I was pissed at the ending of s1

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/07/2019 15:00

On planner. Will try and watch tonight

Crayolaaa · 25/07/2019 15:05

It's pretty dull but I want her shoes and house.

iogo · 25/07/2019 15:46

All the episodes (in English) are on the iplayer even though it is being screened weekly on the Beeb.

You have to suspend reality a few times but I enjoyed it. :)

Sarcelle · 25/07/2019 17:10

All I think when I watch this programme is her feet must hurt. That pulsing ball of foot pain!

midsomermurderess · 25/07/2019 17:58

Sarcelle, I think that too. I am tall (5'11) and rarely wear heels. If I do, blimey the balls of my feet ache. And I can't really walk in them either.

PaneerOfEvil · 25/07/2019 18:52

I did read an interview with Eve Myles and she said she would be happy not to wear heels again and likes being comfortable. She didn’t say whether it was as a result of making this though!

Asta19 · 26/07/2019 17:09

Well that’s answered a question for me! I was slogging my way through season 1 wondering when it was going to end as it was starting to bore me. Now I can see there’s no point finishing season 1 as it isn’t the end! I made it to episode 6 of season 1 but I’m just going to give it up now.

Cosyjimjamsforautumn · 26/07/2019 17:17

Bit of a slow start. Got confused with the change of actress for one of the roles, but love the blue shoes and coat - fab colour!!

Willyoubuymeahouseofgold · 27/07/2019 16:24

Thank god it's not just me.... would say it was difficult to interpret the mumbling and overacted lines in the first half!! I'm having a go at completing Episode 1.. I'm not sure I can stand this woman for more episodes

Goforitgirl · 27/07/2019 19:35

Oh I missed that season 2 was out!! I loved the first one

Mrstraveller · 27/07/2019 20:36

I slogged my way through Season 1 as a friend had recommended it. The thing that annoyed me the most was in the first episode when Faith is shown struggling to get into a pair of work trousers. The actress is tall and slim and in the next shots you could see the trousers fitted her perfectly.

Also I was shouting at the Tv at the number of times she removed her shoes. FGS you are in rural Wales. Just wear “sensible” shoes or keep a pair of slip on trainers in the car.

Last thing. Far too many close ups of her. Yes she’s very attractive but it just got too much. And why all the removing shoes and lying on tables, the floor?

Goforitgirl · 27/07/2019 20:38

I was the same with the shoes!! Tottering around with a baby on her him in these bloody heels.

Actually how I picture most of MN to look Grin

Sarcelle · 27/07/2019 20:44

Think it might be written by a man with a foot or shoe fetishGrin

RosamundButterfly · 27/07/2019 20:52

I've binge watched all of series 2 and i really liked it. First episode was very confusing and I nearly gave up. Thought I might have to rewatch series 1 to remind myself.

But glad I stuck with it, there's something so compelling about it for me. It's not perfect but I like the music and the scenery, it's all very easy on the eye

Hope they make a series 3

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/07/2019 08:45
