I only just caught up with the second episode of the new season and had been avoiding the last thread for a bit so as not to see spoilers and it is now full!

Series 1 was filmed in Brum. My office overlooked the AC—12 car park and their offices, and they used the lift in the Hyatt on Broad Street alot too.

Anyone notice the coding for the 6 photos to be identified was KF... Kate Fleming?

Yes, she named them like that as they were impromptu identification docs which needed references for the tape (beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!).

Current theory at my work is that Kate's maiden name may begin with H

But why would she ask Dot to tell her who the head honcho is? The whole dying declaration scene is a nonsense if Kate is H.

I also can’t quite get behind the theory that it’s somehow kate. I’ve been rewatching old seasons and there would be lots of things that don’t add up. I mean, it’s such an intricate and longstanding series so I guess old Jed could drop the ball occasionally but it doesn’t seem right. She also must be too young! And surely it must be a man. In season 3 there’s that whole thing about the Masons and links to corruption in places of such influence. I find it hard to believe it’s a woman for those reasons. In real life I think it WOULD be a man, wouldn’t it?

Something is seemingly increasingly wrong with Kate though. Could it be that she’s actually undercover in AC12? So all those comically bad undercovers she did were a red herring because she’s actually undercover as Kate anyway...

Her undercovers were abysmal. She didn't manage any without being outed!

Just caught up with episode 2, mother of God, Sunday feels like a long time away! Loving Steve with a beard though, he's really grown on me through the series I thought he was an arrogant tosspot to begin with.

Is Corbett trying to find out who H is?

By coercing coppers with secrets to give him info?

Then he decides if they deserve to live or die?

But surely that'll warn whoever he's after what's going on?

Just got my 84 year old mum hooked on LOD starting from Season 1.

Started watching from the start again, forgot how baby faced Steve was ( especially as beardy Steve is 😍😍)

I've been watching it from the start too as DH hadn't seen any of it. It's fun and I am noticing things I didn't see first time round.

I can't understand why they aren't going after Powell. She turned up and "drifted" the mission to catching low level targets. Wouldn't that indicate that she's bent?

I'm loathe to believe too much of what Corbett says-he seems to be on a mission of his own.

Killing coppers who he(?) considers "bent" to keep his own cover?

Seems too much to me.

If there was a chance of him uncovering too much-why was he even sent undercover?

I can't work him out, I want him to be a good egg as I love stephen graham but I'm worried that handsome beardy Steve is going to get himself in over his head.
Not really loving Kate this series she's a bit cold.

I'm not enjoying the new dynamic between Kate and Steve.

I hope this series improves. I feel like they are trying too obvious tactics to get us to think down the wrong path but it's so obvious so as to be pointless - the call from hastings to whatsherface in the car and the open laptop with the instant messaging open in Hastings hotel room.

It just all feels not very line of duty like.

The Denton one also good.

Roz Huntley-no, couldn't get into that so much at all.

Will be well pissed off if Ted is H though.
