You are absolutely correct, schadenfreude, sad to say took me longer to come to same conclusion. Nice little earner for Tom Ellis though, hope it doesn't typecast him forever as he's a reasonable actor. Good Omens is definitely fabulous. I could never get away with David Jason as Rincewind. Talk about mis-casting!

David Jason as Rincewind was an abomination.

Couldn't agree more with both of you. My conclusion is that casting said 'how about that guy from Only Fools' and it was mistakenly offered to Del boy. Whereas Rodney, now, could definitely have been a fair Rincewind in his younger days.

That's a thought longway.

I think David Jason is an abomination in most things iklboo - liked him in Porridge and Open All Hours and that's about it.

Shadwell has gone to Aziraphale's bookshop and seen him speaking to the Metatron (and, of course, jumped to the wrong conclusion).

Paraphrasing - can't remember exactly

Shadwell: "Get back, ye Spawn of Satan, seducing women to do yer will!"

Gloriously camp Aziraphale "Seducing women. You're in the wrong shop."

I'm very late to it but finally caved and signed up for Prime. Ended up watching it all in two nights.

I haven't read the book but I intend to now. I could very happily watch a whole series of Aziraphale and Crowley bumping along together throughout history. Or just hours of them having cake in the Ritz. Well, Az having cake with Crowley watching him.

My top pick to play Rincewind is not entirely unbiased because he’s a friend of a friend and a lovely bloke, but he’s got just the right look and specialises in harrassed/scared.

I've bought the book! Looking forward to reading it tomorrow. I could tell some of the other characters were cut down a bit so hopefully I'll get to know them better.
