New Drama starring Richard Gere.

This better be good!

Well that was shite. Yes, lovely outfits but H McC was as bonkers as SL by the end. And what was with the ex-homeless-addict boyfriend dropping to one knee? Was he worshipping her? Someone was high when they wrote that episode.

It's like it was finished in a hurry, wasn't it?

Do you know, if there IS a series 2, and it is just Katherine being powerful in excellent clothes, the Mexican woman doing similar in Mexico, but no real message - well, I wouldn't hate it.

Agree with Billy Howle /Caden being excellent. He and his chickens may appear from time to time in S2.

I've just wasted 8 hours of my life on that !
I won't bother if there is Season 2.
I don't get the HMcC love.
I thought Billy Howell was a super actor. A very difficult character to play and he did it superbly.
A big budget but too cool for school series.
Sarah Lancashire looked very dowdy in it ( and I was Shockat the weight she'd put on). She too is an excellent actress.

wasn't he meant to be proposing?

I thought is was good but I did think it was a bit unlikely that a former coke head major player meeja whore bought up his whole life in London would suddenly don wellies and move to a free holding in the country and raise chickens, stroke epiphany or not.

I must admit that, around 3.30am my eyes may have closed briefly in the middle of episode eight. Woke up to Kathryn walking into a room in the world’s most magnificent frock, and Scott taking her hand and sinking to his knees in front of her. Assumed I must have missed a bit. Confused

Definitely (ooh! Look at me with the Line of Duty reference!) had the impression they were trying to shove three episodes worth of material into the last one. So it may be that this worshipping/proposal (?) scene was drastically cut, to the point it made no sense to viewers.

I’d imagine Cayden would have spent half his life, growing up, at second, third and fourth homes in the wilds/countryside all over the place. And even if he hadn’t I can completely understand him wanting some peace and quiet away from all the people.

As Zebra says if there IS a series 2, and it is just Katherine being powerful in excellent clothes, the Mexican woman doing similar in Mexico, but no real message - well, I wouldn't hate it.

Indeed!

I think the point with Caden is that he was a sweet nature loving little boy, corrupted by the power-craziness etc of his father (including him forcing his mum to give him up as a child).

The aftermath of the stroke was a redemption from his wicked ways and the wellies chickens in the countryside symbolise a return to his innocent, sweeter self. Fucking hell I'm deep!

I thought this was a good drama actually and great acting, particularly by the guy you plays the son - Caden. The complex dynamics of the controlling Max I found fascinating.

'The aftermath of the stroke was a redemption from his wicked ways and the wellies chickens in the countryside symbolise a return to his innocent, sweeter self. Fucking hell I'm deep!'

Spot on! Smile
