I don't know many men in their late 60's/early 70's who look as good or better than Richard Gere.

Richard Gere went naked in American Gigolo in the 80s. That was enough! Nothing special if I remember. He is still looking good tho. (With his clothes on).

I watched with DH and DFIL. We’re still in recovery.

All I kept thinking was the journalist with the curly hair was the annoying dad in the Motherland comedy last year.
What on earth was Caden's dad talking to him about in the penthouse? Seemed a weird conversation about nothing. I do wonder if something was put in the cocaine.
The mother had obviously done something really bad.
Those brains ! I found that disturbing.

The conversation was all about power and control. RG didn't like the son asking stuff in the meeting. He wants to give the impression that they're all powerful and are the kingmakers.

Why do you think the mum has done something terrible?!

I don't know really hope , but the way the mum has been frozen out of everything and how he was speaking to her just suggested that she had done something bad, maybe why she was now working with the homeless and why Caden asked for the private room at the restaurant?
I didn't hate it but the dialogue was a bit stilted at times. Poor Caden though ; a product of a dysfunctional family!

I think it's just another sign of him being controlling and trying to exert power over people.

Watching the operation was grim ; must have been a private hospital. Can't imagine the NHS having viewing galleries.

Richard Gere is still handsome. Odd accent in this , but I can forgive.

I struggled with the dialogue at times ( the son / father chat was hard to follow and I had subtitles on) and the writers seemed to just want slick and powerful without realising you also need to be able to understand what they are on about.
It also felt the need to shoehorn in the sex scenes just to hammer home how dysfunctional Caden is. His mum is also a bit odd.
However, I did enjoy it strangely enough.
I think the two journalists will keep it grounded with their investigations. What are they up to?
I'll give it another go before I give up on it.

I do like Sinead Cusack - one of the journalists in the series.
She's married to Jeremy Irons and once dated George Best.
Her father was a very famous actor in Ireland.
Her (half?) sister was in Coronation Street and another was in Casualty many years ago.
One of her sons is a well known politician in Dublin, usually on the side of those less privileged.
I can't believe she's 71

Pretty mad episode. Better than ep1 but still not sure I'm enjoying it . Not sure what the dad is up to recording his sons conversations he's obviously pretty worried he's going to come out with something but what? Also wondering is the homeless ex banker all that he seems. The two journalists are obviously going to uncover a can of worms. Wondering where it will all go will keep me watching

I’m pleased I stayed with it because the second episode was so much better than the rubbish first one.
