When is it back? I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be back in April. Does anyone have any theories about the storyline or characters?

The AC12 triumvirate comprising Hastings, Arnott and Fleming will definitely be back.

What about Roz Huntley? and her rather drippy DH ?

Wil Nige feature? and will we find out how and why Maneet was being blackmailed by Hilton?

I can't wait, frankly.

The lovely Adrian Dunbar was apparently on Lorraine this morning and said that all might not be well in Ted land?
I cannot verify what was said as I do not do Lorraine.
I may well stop paying my license fee if he is bent.

Is anyone else now getting a VW ad on their feed that says 'There is more to the Caddy than you think' ?!

Another one who’d recommend the Line of Duty podcast. Very funny in parts!

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 28/03/2019 18:02

I refuse to believe that Ted is part of the whole conspiracy. He may well have done some dodgy stuff, but not on the same level as Dot.

DH has never watched an episode and cannot believe how excited I am. I have made it clear that no-one is allowed to speak to me at all when it is on.

longwayoff · 28/03/2019 18:16

Still going thru series 3. When Steve is looking through the computer record on the first dodgy guy Danny killed, (they'd just discovered he was involved in the murder of Tommy Crim) there is a LAKEWELL listed under known associates. Not the one from S4 but a relative?

CoolCarrie · 28/03/2019 20:08

Could be longwayoff. I just finished series 4 and now trying to find 4 on Netflix, although I didn’t enjoy that series as much as the previous ones. The H could be a first name or a middle name.

poundoflard · 28/03/2019 21:49

I think each one of the series is waaaaay better than the body guard.
IMHO that is. I'm-right

And Martin Compston is waaay hotter than that fellow Budd, whatever his name was.

WhoWants2Know · 28/03/2019 21:50

I reckon it's Hargreaves from murder squad. He crops up too often to be purely coincidental, and usually in ways that muddy the water for AC-12.

Jimmy Lakewell got murder squad to take over the investigation when Ros Huntley arrested her own husband, and Hargreaves was pretty intent on getting him done for it.

Violetroselily · 28/03/2019 21:57

I hope Hargreaves is back this series

WhoWants2Know · 28/03/2019 21:57

More about him here. He may not be the one in charge, but something about him says "guilty".

MkandMe · 28/03/2019 22:02

I've got OH hooked on thisGrin...hes well excited for new series

pepperpot99 · 29/03/2019 08:06

Hargreaves is such a great 'hard boiled' cop isn't he? I hope he's back too. Does anyone remember the series 'Red Riding' about police corruption set in Yorkshire in the 70s and 80s? it was amazing, very hard to watch ( so grim and violent ) and he played a corrupt police officer in that as well.

OK I 'm going out on a limb here and am fully prepared to be proved wrong and a fool, but I think that Dot may not be dead. Shock.

Just over 48 hours guys....tick tock....

Oh yes... Red Riding was brilliant!! Wasn't it set around the hunt for the Ripper?

Hargreaves used to be in Emmerdale back in the day.

longwayoff · 29/03/2019 09:49

I've been practicing devious thoughts, doesn't come naturally to me of course. Martin Compston (how weird to hear his Scottish accent) has said upright Ted has a hard time coming. I reckon Ted's under investigation and Maneets part of the investigation team. Also, Ros is mega devious and her husband dodgy along with his solicitor mate about whom we will find out more.. Appeals will be in. I expect to see her again.

ThroughASashWindow · 29/03/2019 14:18

I loved Red Riding. Ruined Sean Bean for me though. Totally.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/03/2019 14:30

Hargreaves was Archie in Emmerdale wasn't he? He had a bit of thing with Zoe Tate, didn't he?

wrongnamechange · 29/03/2019 15:01

Red Riding was horrendously grim but absolutely brilliant. Don’t forget Hargreaves was also a bent copper in Peaky Blinders!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/03/2019 16:10

Once a dodgy character, always a dodgy character - like the actor in the most recent series of Shetland who turned out to be the villain, who also abducted the girl in series 2 of the The Missing. You could be on to something there, wrongnamechange.

poundoflard · 29/03/2019 18:35

Don't say a once a dodgy character etc....

I hated Keeley Hawes in LOD but I love her in The Durrells!!!

longwayoff · 29/03/2019 18:55

I was not impressed by keeley in the sequel to Life on Mars, thought it was disappointing and dreary after the first two with John Simm.. However, had to revise my opinion after LOD, exceptional acting in a difficult role. And good as Mrs Durrell.

thenightsky · 29/03/2019 19:39

I agree 100%

Hepzibar · 29/03/2019 22:09

@longwayoff Same here, didn't like her or her character in Life on Mars sequel. And continued to dislike her afterwards. However, was totally drawn into her as Lindsey Denton, what a fabulous character.

My love grew with The Bodyguard. In fact, if you are on here Keeley - do you want to be my NBF?

FoofFighter · 30/03/2019 11:17

@longwayoff we saw Martin in Still Game (if nobody has seen it it's on iplayer.. hilarious!!) and were amazed by how good his Scottish accent was Blush

longwayoff · 30/03/2019 12:06

Ooh, thanks foo, might watch that this afternoon

CoolCarrie · 30/03/2019 16:47

Martin and Vicky are on Johnathan Ross tonight, can’t stand JR but will watch to hear them although I doubt they will let anything slip.
