When is it back? I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be back in April. Does anyone have any theories about the storyline or characters?

The AC12 triumvirate comprising Hastings, Arnott and Fleming will definitely be back.

What about Roz Huntley? and her rather drippy DH ?

Wil Nige feature? and will we find out how and why Maneet was being blackmailed by Hilton?

Hahha, yes : Martin C was first in Ken Loach's Sweet Sixteen a, very grim (but amazing) film set in his home town of Greenock on the Firth of Clyde. I have loved him ever since I first saw him in this. He gave up a promising football career for acting.

My 17 year old dd has become sucked into the LOD phenomenon after I basically forced her to watch them all with me several times over and she is actually counting down the hours .

I can't get my head around Dot being alive really. Did we not see his funeral? (Actually I can't remember).

NO !!! this is the only reason my dd and I have for thinking this. we saw Denton's gravestone and also saw the funerals of Danny Waldron and Tony Gates but nothing for Dot. My theory is that he was put in witness protection and turned supergrass but is still caddying for the other side.

Preposterous I know.....

My only prediction is that Kate and Steve finally get together but it hinders their work so they split up and longingly look at each other over the AC12 interview table!

I liked Steve's girlfriend in series 2, Nicola Rogerson? she was nice.

Anyone else think Steve's character seems to fluctuate?

Series one, no girlfriends, just chatting up a witness and looking a bit longingly at Kate.
Series two, sleeps with new partner, sleeps with witness, sleeps with other copper and we layer fibe put he had a bit of a fumble with Lindsey.
Series three, serious live in girlfriend who drops him
Series four, no girl friend, no dating, no fumbles.

Anyone else think it was slightly unusual? It's like series 2 doesn't really fit the Steve we see in other episodes.

To be fair italian, he had been chucked down a flight of stairs etc., probable wasnt up to being his usual nimble self.
