When is it back? I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be back in April. Does anyone have any theories about the storyline or characters?

The AC12 triumvirate comprising Hastings, Arnott and Fleming will definitely be back.

What about Roz Huntley? and her rather drippy DH ?

Wil Nige feature? and will we find out how and why Maneet was being blackmailed by Hilton?

I can't wait, frankly.

I've re-watched in this order: S4, S2, S3 and now I'm on S1. Which is also completely engrossing. I don't know why I did it in that order but it doesn't really matter, I feel fully briefed and ready for S5 next week Grin.

I did think 4 was going to be a separate case after seeing Fairburn cuffed and charged at the bowling green. But then we get the mystery of H and back we are again down the Saville/yewtree/top brass cover up stuff. Its soooo compelling.

Yep, I've got a lot out of rewatching S1. It's never explained in the highly depressing titles at the end why Gates' testimony was never used. But I'd forgotten that the Caddy was known about so early on.

Some of the IT has annoyed me again (a recurrent theme in LoD) - no audit record of the files in the hit and run case being tampered with, the files getting 'sent' to Gates' computer (WTF) and then it being necessary to smash his door in to get to his PC rather than just logging on somewhere else as him. Mind you, Kate getting handy with a fire extinguisher is mild compared to her later season 'final show' antics.

I'm rewatching as it's so complicated I've forgotten it all. Up to season 2 episode 3 - Ted hasn't said "fella" yet but has come out with a few "cheeky wee shites" Grin

A question about a previous series, maybe (so possibly a spoiler)...

Was there a scene in a penultamate episode of a previous series where there were two police in a car, and one shot the other? Or there was only one and they killed themselves? Was that LoD?

We've not followed the series at all but we caught the end of one episode of something where the above happened, and then I think we watched the final epsode as that had been gripping, but the story made no sense to us having watched nothing previously. It must have been a year or so ago (if not longer). I think of it from time to time and wonder what it was we stumbled on.

Whatever programme it was there was definitely a shooting within a car (ie not a shot from outside), either a murder or a suicide, I can't remember which.

longwayoff - I will watch them at some point. Will a lot of things be spoilt if I don't watch them before S5?

Time, it will possibly stand alone BUT LoD is so complex that it wont make full sense without the earlier series. There's a continuous story running throughout and clues and hints informing that narrative are dropped in each of them. Someone can explain it more clearly I hope. I would say it would maximise your enjoyment if u can manage the whole caboodle.

tribpot - it definitely wasn't the Bodyguard, as we watched the whole series, plus it was longer ago than that, may be a few years coming to think of it.

It's ok, I've succombed and turned to Wiki (which I'd been trying to avoid). I found it straight away, I think - the last to one episode of series 3. If that happened in the car then I'm sure it was what I was thinking of.
