When is it back? I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be back in April. Does anyone have any theories about the storyline or characters?

The AC12 triumvirate comprising Hastings, Arnott and Fleming will definitely be back.

What about Roz Huntley? and her rather drippy DH ?

Wil Nige feature? and will we find out how and why Maneet was being blackmailed by Hilton?

I can't wait, frankly.

I feel like I believe Stephen Graham! But maybe this is just because I love him as an actor

ButtMuncher · 07/04/2019 22:32

OK so I just found this on twitter.

The file Kate grabbed the photo from was a list of current AC12 personnel. So whilst she said the photos were of organised gang members, she clearly was showing a picture of someone currently within AC12.

No I don't think it's Hastings , it can't be !! Dh thinks it is but too obvious.
It'll be someone else not on the wall , Kate got something out of the drawers so another photo ? Argh can't wait for next Sunday Confused

BTatemyhamster · 07/04/2019 22:33

TBH even I'm bored by Kate playing Happy Families and it's only episode two.

What spouse ever whispers 'you're just in time' in that saccharine way? He's thinking 'oh nicely timed, you've missed all the work and just in time for the wine'. These moments are filled with resentment not honey.

shirleyschmidt · 07/04/2019 22:35

I think Corbett is not "bent" and his intentions are good, but he's in too deep, blurred the lines of acceptable and will either die or have to leave the country by the end. But I think he is a "goodie".

I think Kate will die🤭 Too much of focus on how great her life is.

Ted can't be bent, it's too obvious. I'll feel SO bitter and cheated if he is. We need someone to root for or what's the point in watching?

Did anyone else feel like the balance of power between Corbett and Lise totally shifted from last week? Episode 1 he seemed to intimidate the hell out of her, she was hyperventilating on the loo at the Maneet bug, and this time around she was pretty bolshy with him. He seems to have lost the upper hand in his gang and I'm not sure what changed?! 🤷‍♀️

minxthemanx · 07/04/2019 22:35

Mother of God, travelledtheworld! Ted is NOT showing his age!!

wowfudge · 07/04/2019 22:36

I reckon the photo she pointed to is of Corbett.

BTatemyhamster · 07/04/2019 22:38

Arnott dies/goes to prison, Ted retires, Kate takes over as boss of AC 12 - but only after a hard decision as she holds Arnott fate in her hands . . .

granof3 · 07/04/2019 22:39

If Ted was H surely the corruption would have paid enough to sort out his financial situation thus saving his marriage??

Ah no fella.. come and live with me Ted.. I'll take care of you Grin

twattymctwatterson · 07/04/2019 22:41

Ted can't be H - he's skint. I think John might be sincere but he's lost the plot and hs not only murdered but also actively pushed others to do so - Steve is being really daft by considering working with him.

I think one of the team might be done for this season. Really hoping it's not Steve because I luffs him,

wowfudge · 07/04/2019 22:41

I agree gran. I think the approach made to him about his property investment loss was to ensnare him. He'll either think "what the hell" because he's not getting Roisin back or he'll stick to his principles.

Violetroselily · 07/04/2019 22:42

I wonder if shes been told to say its Ted?

Shes in a pretty dire situation either way, so what would she gain by co operating?

ButtMuncher · 07/04/2019 22:43

@granof3 that's why I think he isn't corrupt - there is no way he'd be financially in the mess if he was part of an informant scheme. Plus there is no way he's H - he's the boss of a department, and wouldn't be able to control other departments of the police force. That's not minimising his job, but someone of Hilton's professional capacity would be more likely as he was commissioner.

NowIKnowHowJoanFelt · 07/04/2019 22:43

If someone has to go it has to be Kate. Sorry and all that, but Steve and Ted are mine. Mine.Grin

BTatemyhamster · 07/04/2019 22:44

Hmm, DH disagrees; Hastings either goes down in a ball of flame OR he's playing the OCG and he's as straight as a straight thing but we'll spend the whole series doubting him, only to bitterly regret our lack of faith

On reflection, Ted is basically Jesus. It's Easter innit. That can't be a coincidence.

Do not doubt him.

ElspethFlashman · 07/04/2019 22:45

In fairness, Ted from the side is a pure Spitting Image puppet.

BTatemyhamster · 07/04/2019 22:51

On a lighter note, twitter exchange between mr mecurio and his daughter (from DH, I can't verify. . . )

Steve gets back together with his ex, who insists he ditch the beard.

pepperpot99 · 07/04/2019 22:57

I think the photo might have been of Corbett as well.

i also think the person Cafferty had the illicit affair with may well have been Lisa McQueen. No wonder she didn't want anyone finding out. And the two women clearly know each other pretty well.

SosigisAndCornflourSauce · 07/04/2019 22:58

Didn't TedFella triumphantly whip his own photo down of the 'H' possibles board? That would explain it being in the drawer .

Also didn't they miss number 4 out when she was numbering them? I'm sure she said KF1, KF2, KF3, KF5 and the. kF6

NiniTheMouse · 07/04/2019 22:58

By my reckoning it was the Cottan photo she pointed to. The Cottan photo that was picked up was clearly of him wearing a blue shirt. Only one of the six on the table had a blue shirt, and that's the one she pointed to.

Doesn't mean she isn't lying -- surely Cottan is well known enough, dead enough, definitely-was-a-copper enough to be named rather than silently pointed at in a non-evidential photo array.

I think Ted is showing his age......

Ah - I've been saying this lately too. Police tend to retire in their 50s. Adrian Dunbar is 61 and I think looks unusually old for a copper.

But Ted just can't be corrupt. As others have said - he has no money and lives by such a strict moral code I can't believe he would ever intentionally do anything wrong. But I think he is surprisingly naive at times. Witness the failed property deal. And also he counted his chickens before they were hatched when Hilton started promising him promotion. That prompted Ted to get Roison to start looking through cruise brochures if I remember right. I'd expect a bit more hardened cynicism from a copper of his experience 🤷‍♀️.
