When is it back? I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be back in April. Does anyone have any theories about the storyline or characters?

The AC12 triumvirate comprising Hastings, Arnott and Fleming will definitely be back.

What about Roz Huntley? and her rather drippy DH ?

Wil Nige feature? and will we find out how and why Maneet was being blackmailed by Hilton?

I can't wait, frankly.

Zebra and Apollo -- good points ,helps me look at her in a new light .

i guess her new no nonsense hairstyle is signalling the character you describe Apollo .

I'm going to have to focus on such details as the plot is a closed book to me >>>>>sigh>>>>>>

WallisFrizz · 02/04/2019 11:03

OCG is organised crime group not gang but close enough Grin

I like the theory above that Alison has lost Stephen Graham for years not months so has sent in Lise as UCO 2 to catch him.

GeorgeTheBleeder · 02/04/2019 11:28

It does seem more likely (in an unlikely world) that the MIA UCO has been out of contact for years. He couldn't possibly achieve a trusted position in the OCG in a matter of months. Surely? Confused

peridito · 02/04/2019 11:40

MIA = missing in action ?

UCO = undercover operative

OCG = organised crime gang

trying to cheer self up as suffer from PUF (plot understanding failure )

Can some clever person remind me why we think Hargreaves may be H - apart from the fact his name begins with H.
I can't really remember his involvement, I remember Hilton being a sleazy character but can't remember much about Hargreaves

Thank you

I found this on Twitter.
I could never be a copper. I'd be getting my acronyms mixed up.

George I thought it was that he'd been out of communication for months, but had been much more than that undercover on the job. So it could have been a year plus.

GeorgeTheBleeder · 02/04/2019 12:32

Ah, yes - that makes sense ElspethFlashman.

ElspethFlashman · 02/04/2019 12:44

Still can't be that long though, so your point stands.

I hope we get some idea of what he did to become Top Dog in such a short space of time.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 02/04/2019 12:59

Hargreaves is quite senior and has been a recurring presence across some of the previous series, plus he works in the Organised Crime Squad so has the 'tip off' means.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 02/04/2019 13:00

and knowledge.

NoWordForFluffy · 02/04/2019 13:16

I'm up for the Hargreaves idea. Though is it too obvious?

FindPrimeLorca · 02/04/2019 14:38

Was it really a Spanish property scheme that did for Ted’s finances/marriage? I had it in mind that it was an ROI development.

GrimDamnFanjo · 02/04/2019 14:42

Gah I meant Maneets cousin being recruited by Dot due to them sharing a gambling addiction?...

Pomegranatepompom · 02/04/2019 14:50

Are there any other prominent H's? I need to remind myself who Hargreaves is.

Tinkoschminko · 02/04/2019 15:10

I think he got to such a senior position because he’s actually been co-opted by someone else much higher up in the force that has the reigns on these guys - they would know exactly why he was there and could potentially blackmail him with sharing information with the other guys.

Rumbletum2 · 02/04/2019 15:20

I am embarrassed to admit that I always thought SOCOs (Scene Of Crime Officers) we’re called Sockos. I thought it was a nickname stemming from the little white covers they put over their shoes 😳

Derpess · 02/04/2019 15:24

Rumbletum 😂😂😂 That's brilliant!

BitOfFun · 02/04/2019 15:26

Haha, brilliant!

What about Tommy Hunter? Or is he dead now? I should have rewatched all of it.

peridito · 02/04/2019 15:27

Runbletum that is so sweet ...Grin

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 02/04/2019 15:34

Hargreaves idea. Though is it too obvious? I think he's hiding in plain sight. No-one seems to have flagged him up as a real suspect, ever as far as I'm aware (except that he's on the board of 'Hs' we saw at the end of series 4 when Hastings tore his own picture down).

Tinkoschminko · 02/04/2019 15:41

Tommy burnt to a crisp didn’t he?

TheSpottedZebra · 02/04/2019 15:44

BOF he was killed in hospital, when her from Call the midwife / Baptiste was defenestrated (

TheSpottedZebra · 02/04/2019 15:47

Hastings is meant to be Catholic, isn't he? Yet I saw (in an old one) that he is called Edward Gerard Hastings. That is in no way a NI Catholic name: it's 100% protestant. Probably not at all relevant but it bothers me immensely.

BitOfFun · 02/04/2019 15:51

Oh he’s definitely Catholic- Mother of God! Grin

I defer to your greater knowledge of NI, mind, but we did have a few Edwards at my Catholic school. Interesting though- I can’t think of a St.Eddie off the top of my head.
