When is it back? I'm sure I read somewhere that it would be back in April. Does anyone have any theories about the storyline or characters?

The AC12 triumvirate comprising Hastings, Arnott and Fleming will definitely be back.

What about Roz Huntley? and her rather drippy DH ?

Wil Nige feature? and will we find out how and why Maneet was being blackmailed by Hilton?

I can't wait, frankly.

I think I’m s4 he’s realised how much shit he got for all the sex/relationships and how it can be used against him so is just focusing on the job?

JessMariano · 31/03/2019 14:34

*in s4

I'm really worried that tonight's 'big shocker' is that one of our three gets killed. I really don't want this to be true but it is the sort of thing Mercurio likes to do to mess with his audience.

Still on season 2 but had forgotten just what a tough operator Lindsay Denton was. Keeley must have got fed up of having to pretend to be drowned, however (she's just been waterboarded by the dodgy vice cops).

Steve really does put it about an epic amount in this season, so many notches on the bedpost it must have looked like a toothpick.

tribpot "Steve really does put it about an epic amount in this season, so many notches on the bedpost it must have looked like a toothpick."

Lol. I prefer him in series one, shy guys, I like!

Italiangreyhound · 31/03/2019 16:26

longwayoff "To be fair italian, he had been chucked down a flight of stairs etc., probable wasnt up to being his usual nimble self."

Yes, I was more thinking of him before he got thrown down three flights of stairs!

Just love Arnott!

Violetroselily · 31/03/2019 16:43

According to the RT, Kate is now a DI??

TheSpottedZebra · 31/03/2019 17:12

Tonight, it's tonight

I was going to do a re watch of all the series, but to my eternal shame, I only managed S1.
I'm having a cheeky wee watch of S4 Ep1 right now, and might fit in the last episode of s4 too. I've forgotten so much it's unreal. There's no way I'll watch and post at the same time, and I really loved the 'live' threads Sad

What the hell happened to my memory and ability to multitask? ?

TheSpottedZebra · 31/03/2019 17:14

Yes Violet I noticed she was referred to as DI. Quick, no?

wizzywig · 31/03/2019 17:39

WHY DID I START READING THIS?! ive only just finished series 2. Waaah, i hate you all

CraicMammy · 31/03/2019 17:55

Is wild speculation acceptable on this thread?

TheSpottedZebra · 31/03/2019 17:58

I say YES to speculation. I reckon Kate will die.

Violetroselily · 31/03/2019 18:00

@TheSpottedZebra

Yes very quick considering she was only just made a DS. Both she and Steve had the "I want to be DI" conversation with Ted last series...I wonder if there will be a Kate vs jealous Steve undertone to this series

Violetroselily · 31/03/2019 18:00

I can't stop thinking about the possibility of Dot being alive and in witness protection since it was suggested up thread

CraicMammy · 31/03/2019 18:07

Sod it, I’m going in:

Ted has a police officer (John Corbett?) doing deep cover within a criminal organisation. Ted is his handler and has kept the undercover officer secret from the rest of AC-12 to protect their identity. Kate and Steve mistakenly believe Ted is the corrupt senior officer rather than the secret agent’s handler.

The lines between keeping a spy on the inside and being a collaborator with crime are blurred. Steve works it out by the end of the season, but ends up being shot dead and taking one for the team in order to protect the identity of the spy from being discovered. Kate realises this but thinks Ted has gone too far and never forgives him. Final scene: John Corbett crying for shooting Steve and Ted patting on the shoulder saying “it’s ok son”. End credits.

CraicMammy · 31/03/2019 18:10

In my dreams, Lindsey Denton isn’t dead (I’m in complete denial); Dot is, but we have some more juicy flashback scenes with him.

IntentsandPorpoises · 31/03/2019 18:11

I meant to rewatch at least S4, but I've run out of time. Is there a decent catch up I can read.

I miss Dot. And the "urgent exit required" text was one of the best bits of TV ever.

I'm using the season photo to support my theory that Hastings will die. But I really don't want him to.

endofthelinefinally · 31/03/2019 18:49

I haven't watched previous series. Will I be able to follow this or should I start watching from S1 on catch up? (If it is available).
Apologies for not reading whole thread. Very short of time and multi tasking.
TIA

Violetroselily · 31/03/2019 18:51

@endofthelinefinally yes you really should watch from S1, theres huge back story

endofthelinefinally · 31/03/2019 18:54

Oh Thanks so much for responding Violetroselily.
Maybe I will start watching series 1 on Iplayer.

Acis · 31/03/2019 19:02

Yes very quick considering she was only just made a DS.

She passed her DI exams early in the last series, Arnott was quite put out about it. She said something about getting a move on due to having lost time whilst having her son.

placemats · 31/03/2019 19:24

Ted to be under pressure regarding questioning is my reckoning in this series.

Love that it is filmed in Belfast. Have just recently returned from Northern Ireland and yes, I did go to Belfast.

Can't wait!

tribpot · 31/03/2019 20:05

@endofthelinefinally it's about to expire on iPlayer - season 1 expires tonight, season 4 next Saturday. So you would have to severely binge watch but it's also on Netflix.

endofthelinefinally · 31/03/2019 20:10

I have got netflix.
Will look for it there.
Thanks.
