I don't get the ransom thing. If the traffickers wanted a ransom for Zezi, why would they encrypt the phone number to make it impossible for anyone but the police to work out what it was? Surely they'd want the number to be easily callable?

And I agree the bit about the knife at the b & b is weird; they seemed initially convinced that that made Olivia a suspect, but then just dropped it.

Alice is hiding in plain sight. What better cover than to be in role helping trafficked people...?

Maybe Olivia had it just in case (if it's always been her weapon of choice to protect herself)?

And I don't trust Chris and why he's being so helpful to Duncan.

Why has Zezi never been moved on and forced into the sex trade? I recall the captor at one point saying she was special. Is this because there was always going to be a ransom for her and if so how did Daniel seem to know about where she was?

I was thinking this too, Jules, and remember the 'special' comment. And the ransom/phone number thing is still puzzling me, too.

She probably is a virgin, yes. Still doesn't explain why she's not been forced into the sex trade, or why she simultaneously seems to be being 'saved' for sex work and ransomed, with an almost undiscoverable phone number being given for people to phone and pay her ransom.

Glad I read this thread as I've now realised I fell asleep half way though last week's episode and can watch it tonight, in anticipation of Tuesday's episode.

I think Perez's peacoat should be a bit bigger and slightly longer, so it could fit a nice thick jumper underneath.

I thought the TV was based around the books with elements from them but a new timeline. I wondered if Alice was going to be murdered... Kinda like Fran was in the books.

I don't like Alice one little bit but I suspect she doesn't know anything about it (even though I hope she does) so that they can give Jimmy a happy ending. They aren't right together though

Aaah so many plot holes. Alice denied telling Chris about the plan to trap Maguire so who tipped him off???? It's the crux of the whole story yet we still don't know. Also the link between Chris and Benson wasn't really explained either. It all feels like a poor finale.
