No, I like mysteries but am a wimp and dislike “scenes of peril” or violence, so always read threads like these before watching so I know which bits to fast forward

Oh I am the same, I often flick away if its too much. The last scene showed drowned bodies in the sea, found by Duncan. It was pretty distressing.

Tosh was raped in the line of duty a few series ago...another story which involved the mainland (was it Glasgow again?). It took her a long time to get over it .

Interesting that in this series both Tosh and Jimmy are dipping their toes back into relationship waters. It could go horribly wrong for one or both of them.

Most likely: the guy from the fish processing plant, Olivia, 'Mr Flash the Cash' from Glasgow, Duncan (????)

Least likely: Sandy (maybe he gave the guy in custody the pen on purpose, knowing full well what would happen), Alice and her DH, Donnie (is that the name of Tosh's love interest)

Won't be Duncan, he is a regular character in all the novels, including the very last one, and he's always portrayed as weak, flawed, but pleasant and definitely harmless.

I wondered about Sandy. Especially with Tosh saying he had to run the station while they were out... seemed ominous! I mean I basically am suspicious of everyone 😂

Tosh also got involved with the far right bent copper in Norway in the last season.

Alice is dodgy as hell. Duncan’s not involved, just a weak silly man, who blames everyone else for his problems.

Mind you any house on TV looks good to me, I find.

Wonder if Shetland the place gets lots of visitors, who are then upset that a lot of it is filmed on the mainland.
