Finally watching episode 1 of this. What I don't understand is, do the contestants know they are on a stage and that the mirrors might open? I thought they didn't know, but none of them seem shocked that there's an audience there when they open

I had to laugh that Cheryl could not even manage to get the dance steps right when she and the other two judges did the dance at the beginning.

DH and I have been watching this and I just can't stand Cheryl. There's nothing genuine about her and she's a bit 'dead' behind the eyes.

The dancers are great though!

I think Cheryl slipped rather than forgot the routine. However, it is clear that she's not as polished a dancer Oti and Matthew, and I dare say the presenters either.

I wanted them all to do the same challenge so you could compare. Wonder if they will have some of the same next week or a whole pile of new ones.

I agree that the challenges should have all been the same. Or at least, say, 3 different challenges so each Team had one act doing the same challenge as another. I can see that maybe it would perhaps be a bit dull for TV but it would make it easier to judge each act against the others if they were all the same challenge. I guess it's the same argument about all having to so the same dance on Strictly.

Just caught up. DD2 was out last night, couldn’t watch without her.
I loved it! Some great dancing.

Harry and Eleyiah were fantastic , especially Harry. Go Jelli!!!
Ellie was stunning.

KLA improved so much under Oti.
The choreo for the chair dance was brilliant.
I’m looking forward to another great show next week.

JasperRising just remembered there was a half naked man with a half bare bum dresses as a wolf! I take it back I agree with Cheryl!!

Italiangreyhound hmmm, I hadn't though of it terms of supporting dancers either. I took it that Cheryl was saying she should have done a light, airy, Disney style fairytale rather than the 'darker' tone dance that she did. Which I am not sure I agree with. But yes the half nakedness was a bad idea by the choreographers....

Harry and Eleiyah, were amazing, I loved the Doctor Who dance, they deserved to be top. I think they were both on. Dance Moms UK. It sounds like the dancer's choreographers plan and execute the dance. Not sure what the captions are doing.

I agreed with Cheryl's comments about Ellie, I don't think it was very fairytale.

I liked the receptionist and was pleased they didn't go too much into a sob story.

Oti's ott squealing drives me mad.

Traditional fairytales are very dark though. It's only once they've been "disneyfied" they become all glittery and sweet.

Skipped most of the non dancing bits, but I think the right people are in the top two. Ellie was brilliant and so were Harry and .

Wasn't keen on Frobavks' routine as there was too much stopping and starting. Also, they don't need to keep doing the stripping move. 😴

I am sorry to see Company Jinx go, I enjoyed their performance tonight. I didn’t love Frobacks as much tonight, I was surprised they actually stopped dancing during the ‘calls’. But they are fantastic dancers so I am glad they didn’t leave tonight.
Ellie was gorgeous. Loved Harry & Eleiyah and Dane Bates Collective too.

I think KLA and Dane Bates Collective are amazing but Harry and Eleiyah are incredible.

I don't rate KLA. I think they are one of the poorest groups and weren't as good as Company Jinx or Prospects Fraternity. I think they, Frobacks or James & Oliver were the bottom three this week.

I would love Ellie to win too. I’m glad she is on team Oti.

I would be happy for Harry & Eleiyah to win also.
But really so long I see plenty of good dancing I’m happy.

I know what you mean Samcro. I think her name is Sasha. She has a very distinctive face though. Probably her eyebrows that make her stand out.

Anyone else think it takes too long for some of the acts to start dancing? The Marilyn Monroe one at the mirror in particular.
I dislike this in strictly too.
