Finally watching episode 1 of this. What I don't understand is, do the contestants know they are on a stage and that the mirrors might open? I thought they didn't know, but none of them seem shocked that there's an audience there when they open

The last group on were fab though.

I wanted Rhiannon to get through. Her style is similar to Ellie's, and I enjoyed her performance better than the Globe Girls'.

Was she the lass in red? She was good.

Yes Petal. I thought her overall performance was confident and powerful.

I'm disappointed that Shyla didn't get through. Wonder if they thought it was more like gymnastics than dancing?

And I agree Rhiannon better than Ellie and the Globe girls.

Yes I heard that. Must have thought more like a gymnast as she was doing the splits and flips. Yeh Cheryl is a cow.

Some of the acts are amazing! Others, not so much!!

A few surprises. I was surprised the Globe Girls are in final 3, but could be interesting to see what they do under Oti. They certainly will be entertaining.
I loved Ellie, she dances with such grace and elegance. I really liked the 2 boys in this episode. And I loved the last group with the orange tops. I do like Harry and Partner too.
I hope there will be more dancing and less talking in upcoming episodes.

i was glad the little girl didn't get through. she was way too young.

It says it all that when she was asked on the One Show who she though the world's greatest all time dancer is/was she said Beyoncé!!!! Fred Astaire must have been spinning in his grave

I think Oti has picked quite difficult acts. I imagine in terms of the display of it all one dancer is harder to set up in a set piece than two. Both other captains have got pairs and groups of four or more

Oti has an interesting group indeed.
Ellie is stunning dancer but young. I imagine she will work on her performance skills.
I am hoping for a really entertaining routine from Globe Girls, with bags of attitude.
The kids will have the cuteness factor, the only young children competing, and only ballroom act I think. Lucky kids to have Oti as captain!!
I wonder how they will go from 9 to 1? Whether public vote involved or captains decide? I am looking forward to Saturday episode to find out and see all the dancers perform again!!

What happened to the lyrical dance boy - around 9 years old - who got through but was then nowhere to be seen in the captain stage? He was really good!
