Starts tonight, anyone else ridiculously excited about it? Just finishing up rewatching to the end of season 3 now and can't wait.

blondes, there are plenty of couples who repeatedly have unplanned pregnancies in RL. Every other day there’s an ‘oops [blush’ thread on MN.

Blush fail

Good grief trancepants that's a lot of thinking! Must remind self that this is a TV show and not real.

trancepants · 14/02/2019 18:58

Why be such an arsehole? My dog died today so excuse me for distracting myself. Hope you’re still enjoying feeling so superior!Sad

Janus · 14/02/2019 19:22

Oh trancelants, so sorry that’s really awful. I do think dogsdinner was being lighthearted. I totally overthink tv programmes, I keep coming back here to see everyone’s theories!
Take care, it’s an awful time xx

Janus · 14/02/2019 19:22

Sorry for getting name wrong trancepants.

ThanksItHasPockets · 14/02/2019 19:29

I’m convinced it was a metaphor. Look at this tweet promoting Season 4 in advance of it being shown in the USA next month.

Yep. They're definitely still alive. Being annoying.

Steala · 14/02/2019 20:23

I agree it's a metaphor but that could have been achieved by cutting to the sign when both of them were in the water. The fact that Rob saw the sign, deliberated and then went in is what has provoked the overthinking: is he saving her or dying with her? He knows and she doesn't.

Itssosunny · 15/02/2019 09:56

I guess that that's the end of the series and no return. Rob's son died last year so it was quite difficult for him to work on this film. They're, however, expecting a new baby this year so he is going to be very busy dad. It's their fifth child.
Oh, I loved the series. Hopefully they make something as good.

Itssosunny · 15/02/2019 09:58

I am sure he went into the water in order not to help her if there will be some difficulties. What if he shouted to her about the possible danger? She could have gotten scared and drowned.

Itssosunny · 15/02/2019 10:22

"in order to help her" had there been any difficulties later on.

EstrellaDamn · 15/02/2019 10:38

I just saw it as a metaphor. The last shot of them was them swimming back to shore together, through difficult waters. That's marriage isn't it?

EarringsandLipstick · 15/02/2019 13:07

Itsosunny
Rob's son Henry was very ill when they were filming - he died last February. They had a fourth son born last August.

Figgygal · 15/02/2019 14:37

The Guardian are saying it's the best finale since the Sopranos and equally ambiguous

Itssosunny · 15/02/2019 18:01

@EarringsandLipstick, I have read this on his wiki site, In June 2018, Delaney announced that his wife was pregnant with the couple's fifth child.
I didn't know his wife gave birth already.

Lottapianos · 15/02/2019 18:07

'The Guardian are saying it's the best finale since the Sopranos and equally ambiguous'

Saw that and was Confused. The Sopranos finale was brilliant and truly shocking. This ain't no Sopranos!

TeachesOfPeaches · 15/02/2019 18:17

I also thought he swam out to go and die

Figgygal · 15/02/2019 18:19

I think he just went out to keep her company and reconnect Confused

EarringsandLipstick · 15/02/2019 21:04

@Itssosunny 😂 'his wiki site'? Do you mean Wikipedia? Sure anyone can edit that!

Here's an interview with him from the Guardian:
