Starts tonight, anyone else ridiculously excited about it? Just finishing up rewatching to the end of season 3 now and can't wait.

Why do Sharon and Rob only have one child with them when they go to the farm?

More of Daphne's mother please - love that actress!

I too was surprised that the doctor apparently didn't care about the night sweating. Just going back now to check the bit about Rob not being able to find the word.

Iwantedthatname19 · 25/01/2019 19:21

Hmm, I just went back to the 'word' scene - not sure how much to read into it! Does anyone know what word Rob was looking for by the way - 'the thing'?

I did notice Rob used a non-word earlier at the police station - precalculated - whereas normally you would say premeditated. I thought no more of it at the time, but......

TattyOldbit · 25/01/2019 19:29

I'm still watching and "cringeoying" which is my made up word for things like this. I'd like to see Sharon Horgan and Catherine Keener work on something together.

beanaseireann · 25/01/2019 20:12

What actress is Daphne's mother ?

Encyclo · 25/01/2019 20:16

Amanda Hale. She was in Ripper Street

Iwantedthatname19 · 25/01/2019 20:24

and the White Queen. also Rev! She was a great character before in Catastrophe but for some reason didn't have much dialogue this week.
Also she wasn't quite like my memory of her character - i would have thought she would have loved the Kent country life!

Clionba · 26/01/2019 09:51

She just made faces, didn't she?
I was wondering about the whole health thing, remember Sharon had a cervical cancer scare in Season 1? Rob's night sweats aren't necessarily serious, maybe just hyperhidrosis or something.

Iwantedthatname19 · 26/01/2019 10:06

true clionba! - though then there was a reference to weight loss as well. of course if he's been on a fitness drive that would explain it, but can you do that with a neck brace?

Clionba · 26/01/2019 10:22

Good point. That could indicate something, but then giving up alcohol usually has a weight loss outcome?

EdWinchester · 26/01/2019 14:43

This time last year, my friend had night sweats, weight loss and brain fog. He was diagnosed with Lymphoma after several 'clean bill of health' appointments. It was only a scan that picked it up.

That's what make me suspicious over this story line.

Clionba · 26/01/2019 19:46

Could be. Or leukaemia.

cushioncovers · 27/01/2019 08:18

The father-and son conversation about shaving his head. Grin

Delatron · 27/01/2019 21:26

Just catching up.

I have her running top! I knew I liked her style!

Does seem like they are setting Rob up to be ill but they can’t conclude that in a few episodes. Surely they wouldn’t leave it ending like that. Would they?

FilledSoda · 27/01/2019 21:37

Pulling is on Amazon ?
Brilliant

EachandEveryone · 27/01/2019 22:31

Pulling isnt on Prime so its not free.

Could he have diabetes or a thyroid problem?

Iwantedthatname19 · 28/01/2019 10:36

Does Sharon work part time? Just wondering how she was able to meet Rob during the day after his doc appointment. Or is it summer time so it was after work?

Clionba · 28/01/2019 10:43

She must work part time because she's often put in the day.

Clionba · 28/01/2019 10:51

out in the day

WraithBabe · 28/01/2019 15:24

I agree with others about this series not being as enjoyable as the previous ones. Sharon and Rob seem more self-conscious in their interactions, somehow. Rob in particular just seems to have a bit of a distant look about him, a bit disengaged. There seems to have been a lot of foreshadowing of something going on since the last episode of the last series when Sharon nearly got run over before Rob crashed the car. E.g Sharon falling over pushing the pushchair, thinking Rob had been in an accident, the hints that Rob's not well, her being told she's really unhealthy.

I was expecting them to write Carrie Fisher out at the start of the series as well, I wonder how they're going to do that (or whether they'll bother).

Encyclo · 29/01/2019 22:56

Anyone watch tonight’s episode? God Fergal’s a complete asshole isn’t he?

cushioncovers · 30/01/2019 09:36

Thought this weeks episode of Fergal's birthday was good. More like the earlier shows.

Auldspinster · 30/01/2019 13:16

I think Fran and Chris will get back together.

cushioncovers · 30/01/2019 15:08

Me too

ASmallMovie · 30/01/2019 15:46

It’s blindingly obvious they’ll get back together.

mizu · 31/01/2019 07:14

Enjoyed this episode, very funny.
