A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus. Weightlifting Fairy finished! It's beautiful with some lovely messages and Nam Joo Hyuk is another to add to the list! I absolutely laughed out loud at lot of it and blubbed..... Proper good!! And think might fall into a Nam Joo Hyuk spiral now... It was crazy but not too crazy!.
Sigh!... It was a lovely story!

I think I may have potentially turned a k-curious colleague. She’s planning to go to ground over Christmas/New Year with her husband and was looking for boxset recommendations. I extolled the virtues of a good kdrama and she asked for a list of good ones, which I have duly emailed.

No, I just want real life people I can talk to about this. One of my friends thinks my fixation is funny. She says I’m pursuing it with the single-mindedness of her 10 year old son, who is Star Wars mad.

Ah tell a lie, Ji Soo IS in Weightlifting FKBJ he has a cameo role in the place where she does part time work, they even joke about how he & NJH look alike! Lee Jong Suk also has a cameo playing a shooting athlete which is a reference to W: Two Worlds

Everyone I know in RL thinks I am obsessed, no one I know watches kdrama.

I watched more Secretary Kim earlier (just turning in after nodding off on the sofa). My views on the Vice Chairman may have softened a little, but only a little. I’m not a quitter so I’ll probably see it through. I’ on ep 7 - the writer is a lying arse I think, but I’m sure all will be revealed.

I'm enjoying WLFKBJ very much, the leads are cute; I read on Soompi that they dated for a while after filming which explains the lovely chemistry they have.

Also finding the reflections on body/diet/self-image/ very interesting.

I was put off watching by the poster image for it, anyone else agree that the promo images often don't match the actual content? FFMW is another one, why are they all wearing pink?

boatyardblues I didn't get the appeal of vice-chairman at first, I think it was around ep 9 it all clicked into place. It remains the only drama to date I have pretty much watched all the way through TWICE. On the 2nd viewing I got annoyed by Sec Kim & was firmly on the Vice Chairman's side.

Oh apart from DDTD I have watched that twice too

I feel your pain, Bea - had the same thing earlier this week.

I'm worried about how I'm going to fit in all my watching with the family duties of being Mrs Christmas!!... I won't have a minute to myself to indulge! 😭... Think I'll just have to content myself with snippets of my favourite scenes!... I can't dive headlong into a proper 16 ep run!!

Started watching Bride of the water god... With nam joon wuk... He's basically playing an aloof... Superior being... He could basically be any pompous ceo chaebol... But in this case he's a Water God coping with humans... It's intriguing and am watching happily without the need to stay up all night...
