A quiet corner of MN for serious addicts of Kdrama, or the Kdrama-curious. Most of our viewing is drawn from Netflix and Viki, but the more seriously addicted have other sources, including dramabus. Just plain nasty, I’m afraid. I’m frustrated with the lack of subtitles towards the end of ep 13. FL is having a heart to heart with her father, I suspect about her feelings for ML as she’s said his name and they both keep saying the Korean word for love, but it seems a chunk is missing despite the “100% EN” tag on the episode. I’ve check on both AppleTV and app & both are untranslated. 🤷‍♂️ Anyone else had this before with viki?

Hmmm. AppleTV subtitle setting says only 79% of this episode is subtitled. It peters out about 13 min from the end.

Very occasionally but then they have appeared when I’ve hit refresh, though that doesn’t sound like that would work in this case

Is it a Viki subtitled show? Is does it have the wacky subbers team name?

Just rolled into ep 14 & it says its not been subtitled yet. I think this means they haven’t finished the series yet. I’ll keep an eye on things & let you all know when it’s done. I’d avoid it if you want to speed through or skip to the end until its done.

Bettys! Yes! 😁... I expect it would be me! I remember watching A LOT of Buffy during those early breastfeeding nights!... Back in the day! I'd video eps of Buffy and watch during night feeds!... Wow! Days before streaming and texting! It really was another lifetime!... I think I joined around 2001.. When dd1 was born!.... It really feels like a 100 years ago!
And here we are now! 😂😁😂😁... Life isn't so bad! 👍

I quite like their whacky team names it makes it more personal than Netflix

To keep Choi Jin Hyuk on tap whilst the viki subtitlers catch up, I’ve jumped ship to Pride and Prejudice on Netflix, which he stars in. I’m only 10 mins in and there’s been some cracking dialogue already. It’s a team of prosecutors in the Public Safety team and their boss just welcomed newby intern FL to the team by telling her they are a team of outcasts. The boss prosecutor is status obsessed and vain, a bit of a tool. The two male prosecutors are both total douchebags and FL clearly has history with CJH. He told her to use honorifics instead of speaking informally and her response was along the lines of “certainly, since you know there won’t be any respect behind them” followed by (sarcastic) bow. The 2 investigators - one male, one female - are both young and dress like Healer in a gothy rebel style. Male one is rather lovely and hunky. In “ten minute test” terms, this one shows great promise. Will keep you posted.
