Yes it was tonights - it's shown again tomorrow but I think that's an edited edition, so it might not be on it.

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 22:15

lemonaid, just thought the bloke was Jack, did look properly!! Will have a look on youtube, see i f they've got trailer yet.

allieBongo · 23/06/2007 22:15

MrsWho · 23/06/2007 22:17

I 'm obviously not "who'd-up" enough for this thread

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 22:21

Well Allie if you've any questions ask away! shame you've only got one episode left!

allieBongo · 23/06/2007 22:22

I think i will be watching a lot of on demand. I never liked christopher eccleston so was put off, but loved david tennant

southeastastra · 23/06/2007 22:22

this is worrying my son (5) (the heart thing) is he going to be a dr who geek, he likes to regenerate daily

southeastastra · 23/06/2007 22:23

(he watches the paul mcgann film all the time)

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:23

Come back! Come back! We're all going round in circles obsessing over details at the moment so getting back to basics would be good.

that phrase "back to basics" has conjured up all sorts of unsuitable mental images involving members of the DW cast. I blame the wine.

MrsWho · 23/06/2007 22:24

my dd1 is a geek.dd2 didn't like this one as much as there was too much talking

OP posts:
lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:24

Ah, you are back, good

allieBongo · 23/06/2007 22:24
Smile
RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 22:24

Wish I could watch on demand!! I'd be demanding next weeks episode.

SEA - what's worrying your son, the 2 hearts?

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:26

There could have been a question over whether Anthony Ainley or Eric Roberts had two hearts, as they nicked other bodies (although in the case of AA there was a Master-thing that merged with Nyssa's father, so a second heart could have been imported I suppose).

But I think this Master definitely has a second heart, because he regenerated properly so ought to be a proper Time Lord with the requisite two hearts.

AttilaTheMum · 23/06/2007 22:27

The Master does have two hearts - I have a very vague memory of it being mentioned, but not sure when - possibly when he was in prison.

southeastastra · 23/06/2007 22:27

rtl yes the two heart thing is really playing on his mind.

he is only 5 but has tons of old dr who videos that he loves. i sort of worry that he's so worried about dr who iykwim!

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 22:28

I feel ds1 has missed something of his childhood as there was no Dr Who when he was growing up. He's 22!! Where as ds2 loves it.

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:29

Mine is 2 although isn't really into it yet (he did like "funny monster come out of Dalek", though)

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 22:30

Lemonaid, how old are you. I'm overwhelmed by your dr Who knowledge, and maybe even a bit scared.....

MrsWho · 23/06/2007 22:31

RTL- my dds have been watching since it restarted and they are 7 and 5 now.dd2 hasn't been scared yet (I have) and dd1 was only scared of the angels

I am now on 7 Dr Who threads out of 24 threads I am on

OP posts:
lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:37

I was very, very young in 1972, if that helps...

Actually, my pre-late-Tom Baker-era knowledge was pretty much non-existent (my parents didn't approve of children watching Doctor Who until they'd produced enough of us and we'd grown to a point where we could band together and protest) until I met DH, who has embarked on an extensive re-education programme of weekend morning UK Gold (Jon Pertwee and earlier Baker, plus some Peter Davidson where I can say "ooh, I saw this one"). I think at some point he expects me to sit an exam...

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:38

Aaargh. Davison, obviously. Definitely down to the wine and the fact that I work with a Davidson. Who would not make a good Doctor Who.

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 22:42

The television is trying to make me watch Barbarella. Should go to bed...

UnquietDad · 23/06/2007 22:45

As lemonaid says, interesting question about the hearts. The Master's last two bodies were non-Gallifreyan, so he may not always have had.
The Simm Master says he was "resurrected" by the Timelords, though, so he probably does have.
