Aitch, I find myself in the joyous position of not begging for spoilers, because I just want to see it unfold...

Mossy · 23/06/2007 14:37

Oh I see I was being dense, click on your name on the other web site. D'oh!

Will have a read now!!

lemonaid · 23/06/2007 19:57

The spinny-roundy bit was a bit silly.

Fubsy · 23/06/2007 20:21

I liked the Captain Scarlet Cloudbase!

beansprout · 23/06/2007 20:22

I had to go and see ds - can someone quickly tell me what the Dr was telling them when they were eating chips? I came back in and saw a little boy - who was that? Thanks

The doctor was telling them about his & the master's childhood on Gallifrey -when they were 8 they were taken from their parents & shown the infinity of time - some were inspired, some ran away, some went mad - the little boy was the master, going mad...

beansprout · 23/06/2007 20:28

Thanks Attila!

Was it me or was John Simm just a little too panto?

AttilaTheMum · 23/06/2007 20:30

Believe me, compared to some of Roger Delgado's dramatics he was positively Shakespearean.....

Fubsy · 23/06/2007 20:31

Its you.

DD is breathing heavily through a snorkle and tapping her fingers. Now she is threatening the gerbils with death. Should I let her carry on watching dr who?

beansprout · 23/06/2007 20:32

I thought the Master was supposed to represent the biggest threat yet but he was too busy cracking gags to be that scary.

Still all bloody good though.

I actually agree with RTD (and I don't type that too often) that the Master needs to have the humour in order to be truly the Doctor's equal, and that he's far more scary if you can think of him as a genuine equal rather than a nearly-equal-but-just-a-little-bit-more-crap adversary.

Which does make me wonder how the heck he's going to manage to lose. Presumably Martha teams up with Leo but then...

Eowyn · 23/06/2007 20:56

liked the jellybabies bit, it's so nice that he keeps putting in bits for the long-termers..

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 20:58

Ah - missed the jelly babies bit, was that when Mr & Mrs Master were watching the President!!

Actualy a bit sick, got myself confused and thought tonight was the last episode!!

Doctor #4 (Tom Baker) was into jellybabies. I missed the reference this time because I missed quite a lot of it as DS was being a bedtime refusenik. I'll have to watch it again (oh, the torment) with DH tomorrow.

Eowyn · 23/06/2007 21:08

yes it bought back Tom Baker for a mo.
Sadly, my fickle dd doesn't like the Dr now he's old, prefers the Master. Missing the point a bit I fear.

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 21:14

Did I miss the Dr expalaining who the Toclafane are?

RedTartanLass · 23/06/2007 21:35
