Starts on Sunday on ITV1.

Graphista the mum was the woman in the bed.

I wonder if the sister saw what happened and has been traumatized by it..... similar to what happened in Prime Suspect 2

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 17/07/2018 00:50

My mistake was that it was showing on Sky Box Sets and I assumed it was downloaded from All 4

Now TV has it with a 14 day free trial but I don't know how long til it expires

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 17/07/2018 00:52

Forgot the quiz host! So obviously meant to infer Paxman

Did he have two sons? I got confused might have to rewatch

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/07/2018 07:09

Yes I thought Paxman for the quiz show host too, just like Trevor Eve's character in series 1 was very like Alan Sugar.

southeastdweller · 17/07/2018 07:37

He has one son.

2rebecca · 17/07/2018 12:54

I had to rewatch it as found it confusing. Lots of similar aged men who I got confused. Neil Morrissey was OK but the others merged a bit when watching. I think they cram too many characters in.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 17/07/2018 13:08

I'm one of those people who find Nicola Walker quite annoying but I thought she was great in this. The dialogue is really good, very naturally flowing.

I've only seen series 1 though as I'm not in the UK and series 2 isn't on Netflix yet.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 17/07/2018 14:10

I thought there were two because

The boy with cuts who'd been in trouble again

The boy wearing makeup who called him Dad at the end who was living in flats

They weren't the same lad ?? Confused

cheesydoesit · 17/07/2018 15:27

Do you mean the brown haired lad with spots/sores that Quizmaster gave £20 to? He was his son's friend, he went there to get information from him, I think.

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 17/07/2018 15:40

Yes he had marks on his face

I must have got distracted must rewatch

WinterHoliday · 17/07/2018 17:04

I love this programme, glad it's back.

I read in my TV guide that the four "suspects" are old friends (they were organising a reunion) whereas in the other series it was more of a mystery working out how everyone was connected to each other.

I recorded it and watched it yesterday afternoon before watching Soldier Soldier, and the same actress (she played Neil Morrissey's wife in Unforgotten) was in both programmes which was a small co-incidence.

QueenOfTheAndals · 17/07/2018 17:38

Neil Morrissey's character is a bit long in the tooth to be having such young children surely? And it's very strange to see Alex Jennings in a role where he isn't playing a member of the royal family or Alan Bennett! Come to think of it, I saw him play Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady many years ago and he was very good.

OP posts:
Graphista · 17/07/2018 20:10

Neil morrisey's only 56. Even if he's playing older men can and do have children later in life, they don't face the same issues as women.

LetticeFortescue · 19/07/2018 21:53

*he salesman (also seems a nasty piece of work - I think people have forgotten neil morrissey can play right nasty psycho quiet types

Graphista · 19/07/2018 22:01

Ahhh ok so not a huge departure from recent work then. I keep meaning to watch that. Think I'll like it but it seems heavy? Dark?

LetticeFortescue · 19/07/2018 22:17

its very convoluted and darker than Unforgotten but def worth a watch

Graphista · 20/07/2018 00:00

It's on my Netflix list but I've not been well (mh) so feeling like anything too dark not a great idea at the moment. But I'm doing a bit better so maybe give it a go soon.

colouringinagain · 20/07/2018 00:12

Just catching up! Liking Nicola Walkers hair!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/07/2018 15:11

I still see Neil in men Behaving badly. Didn’t recognise him grey

Yes show hisetvhas one son who turns out is gay /cross dresser

So sad when police doing the calls to the families

And the sisters heart rendering cries

They obv thought she was alive as the posters didn’t show a 13/15yr / more what she would look like

So out of the 4 - I’m saying doc killed her years ago

Violetroselily · 20/07/2018 20:19

@Graphista Line of Duty is definitely worth watching when you're feeling up to it. It is utterly brilliant, quite complex storylines (And you need to watch from s1 for it to make sense) but it is so compelling. There's 5 or 6 episodes in each series, so very bingeworthy.

Graphista · 20/07/2018 21:56

Thanks. I may watch this weekend. Doing a little better plus af in town which makes me more angry/irritable than teary Grin

HelenaDove · 21/07/2018 01:33

dalmatianmad · 21/07/2018 08:36

Didn't realise this has been on before! Do you need to watch the others to understand what's happening??
