I'd love to be watching the handmaids tale but due to circumstances in my personal life at the time I missed the first series and now won't have a clue. I'm hoping it'll be available to stream somewhere at some point, I was hoping it'd be on all4 prior to next series starting but it wasn't.
Poldark I don't fancy after hearing of some controversial scenes which I think I'd find upsetting.
I did Google unforgotten to see précis of characters, and in one article it said about a summer start being unusual. I've been bemoaning a dearth of decent drama lately. Certain series I follow having just ended or about to end.
British tv doesn't produce nearly enough good quality drama, most series are short not giving the viewer a real chance to get into either story or characters and can be dreadfully slow.
I prefer American made drama, some Australian to be honest.
I've enjoyed the heart guy - but again very short series. American series tend to be 20+ episodes whereas British are 6/8 rarely more than 15 even for series that are well known to be popular.
I think we need more investment in the uk.
