Anyone else counting the hours 'til Friday? Saga banged up and stitched up for the murder of her evil mama; how will she cope? Come on Henrik, save our girl!

I’m watching but a bit behind. A lot of the men in it look similar which doesn’t help

colouringinagain · 25/05/2018 22:03

Seriously!

viques · 25/05/2018 22:05

I am a bridge newbie, this is my first series. Will I be less confused if I go and watch 1-3? Or are they just as tangled and disjointed for the hard of thinking?

colouringinagain · 25/05/2018 22:09

I've seen them all and I'm really struggling with this one! Other series will give you more understanding of Saga, but not this case!

viques · 25/05/2018 22:09

Ps I am enjoying it, well I think I am......

2rebecca · 25/05/2018 22:12

Does anyone else think Clown poor brother killed rich journalist brother and took his place? Watching late on video so maybe obvious now

colouringinagain · 25/05/2018 22:13

I wondered that rebecca

colouringinagain · 25/05/2018 22:18

Totally confused Confused

viques · 25/05/2018 22:19

Thanks colouringin the backstory Saga gave the therapist was quite revealing wasn't it, a life lived as they say!

LightAsTheBreeze · 25/05/2018 22:47

I’m enjoying it but a little confused with a few bits, I think I will go and read one of the episode recap websites as they generally explain everything. Blush

colouringinagain · 25/05/2018 22:48

Please recommend me one!

2rebecca · 25/05/2018 22:55

Too many different plots combined with trying to knit and watch subtitles means it's muddled

AGnu · 26/05/2018 03:19

Genius! The twin switch thing, I mean. It would explain why journo-twin went to meet Red October but alive-twin insists he is Red October. Why, if journo-twin was Red October, would he fake a meeting knowing no-one would turn up?! Makes much more sense for it to be the clown-twin.

Was the hospital girl's aunt someone we've seen before? I get confused by all the people which makes it difficult when trying to figure out the links between them all!

Hands up who thinks there's even the tiniest chance of Saga being convinced to keep the baby?

Slartybartfast · 26/05/2018 06:11

Yes but worried for the baby with those parents!
it is the last series so quite feasible

i dont think the twin killed his brother.

Slartybartfast · 26/05/2018 06:12

www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2018/may/25/the-bridge-recap-season-four-episode-three-red-herrings-and-a-bombshell

this recap is normally very good and helpful

MrsFring · 26/05/2018 08:22

Saga's face when she saw that evil mama had cut her out of the family photos was unbearably sad.

AnyFucker · 26/05/2018 08:39

That Guardian recap blog is brilliant

I am not getting who the young girl in hospital is though

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 26/05/2018 09:00

The dad of the girl ill in hospital was the one who killed the guy in the tyre warehouse wasn't he? I only knew it was him by his hairstyle. So he's a well-heeled gangster????

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 26/05/2018 09:20

Just watched E3. I didn't see Saga's pregnancy coming. No idea how that will work out.
The two homeless girls can't be Henrik's children as I'm sure they would recognise their old bedroom as well as their Dad. Maybe Henrik will adopt them, thereby going some way to offset his grief. I do hope we Henrik will discover the fate of his family. I was so touched by Saga's attempts to help find them. I think this is Saga using her professional skills to show her love for Henrik.
Speaking of Saga, what was the point of her being attacked in prison? If there is nothing more to do with that storyline, it seems a bit lazy to put it in just to create a cliffhanger in the first episode. However, I can't believe the makers would use any precious minutes on an erroneous storyline.
Can anyone tell me who the man with the sick daughter is? Do we even know yet or did I look away for the five seconds it was explained?
I will be devastated at the end of the series. I am very attached to the characters but I am missing Saga stripping off to her leather trousers in the office. She is very subdued this series, possibly as her recent life events ( including the attack in prison,) have been the final trauma on the cake of misery.
Still confused about the cult type group in the forest. Something disturbing will no doubt surface.
Speaking of disturbing. ... That clown with the GoPro strapped to his freaky head! Jeez, I was slightly scared by that. I guess the camera was to send footage to her father as part of a blackmail/hostage situation.
I really hope that Saga and Henrik end up together not just "having sex sometimes". But this is The Bridge and I expect it to be a misery fest of epic proportions. And if everything goes back to the beginning and the focus on families this series is anything to go by, I think that we are in for a rocky ride.
Apologies that his is a rambling stream of consciousness post. I've had 4 hours sleep and I'm far too invested in Saga to think objectively about her. Such excellent acting from all but Sofie Helin is magnificent.

MuddlingMackem · 26/05/2018 15:16

I checked the end credits for this episode, and the two girls appear to be listed as Henrik's daughters. Shock

Until I saw that, I thought that the girl in the hospital could be one of his children, if they'd been split up and maybe sold for adoption, which was why their mother was killed, but it looks like we're seeing her because of her dad's activities being connected to the plot somehow.

BoreOfWhabylon · 26/05/2018 15:19

Surely that's the two girls who play Henrik's daughters in his hallucinations though?

MuddlingMackem · 26/05/2018 17:42

Yeah, realised that about half an hour ago. They were in so briefly I'd completely forgotten they were in the episode. Grin

So for my theory then, what if the girl in the hospital is one of his daughters, and she's so afraid of clowns because their abductors were dressed as clowns? :)

Slartybartfast · 26/05/2018 19:50

no surely his daughters were older than the girl in hospital? wasnt it 7 or 8 years since they were taken?

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 26/05/2018 19:59

8 years ago his daughters disappeared. I'm not sure who the girl in hospital is either but it can't be one of them.
