Anyone else counting the hours 'til Friday? Saga banged up and stitched up for the murder of her evil mama; how will she cope? Come on Henrik, save our girl!

We have missed a couple of episodes of Hidden I think, so we are a bit behind. Friend is in it, she’s very good. It is pretty harrowing !

MuddlingMackem · 01/07/2018 19:09

Another one watching Hidden after it got mentioned here.

Oh, and as well as previous Walter Presents recommendations, a couple of which I still haven't seen, I'd recommend 13 Commandments.

DaffoDeffo · 01/07/2018 19:11

I couldn't find any of those on All4 but I was looking on the TV. Are they only on the app?

EmilyAlice · 01/07/2018 19:12

Does anyone else find Hidden really dark? I watched last night's without having a clue about who was doing what to whom.

DaffoDeffo · 01/07/2018 19:14

there were bits last night, in the first 15/20 mins where I couldn't actually see what was happening as it was so black (it's also because it's light outside I think!)

EmilyAlice · 01/07/2018 19:20

I watched it this afternoon and had all the shutters shut against the heat so the room was dark. Yes it was the first part that was vraiment Welsh noir.

EmilyAlice · 01/07/2018 19:22

Mind you it is set in my former university so I know the weather can be very gloomy.

petrolpump28 · 01/07/2018 20:08

I actually questioned why I was watching Hidden . Disturbing.

ToffeeUp · 01/07/2018 21:05

13 commandments was ok, tailed off a bit towards the end but had a surprising twist. Also a strong lead woman

I also quite liked the Danish hostage drama, below the surface.

MuddlingMackem · 01/07/2018 22:30

Ooh, haven't heard of Below the Surface. Might have to check that one out as well.

colouringinagain · 01/07/2018 22:50

Brilliant brilliant last episode exquisitely acted. Saga was wonderful.

Everyone was right about Kevin! And another "she had the key!" Out loud here. Quite tempted to watch it again. And then go back to series 1!

Will really miss Saga, feel so attached to her, way more than any other tv character. Testament to excellent writing and superb acting.

Awrite · 01/07/2018 23:47

Feeling slightly bereft now it's over.

I love Henrik so much. I trust him to nurture his daughter and do right by her. Saga will come back to him. She loves him.

I reckon I'll rewatch them all too - from 'the beginning'. I did like Martin. But he's no Henrik.

MnerXX · 01/07/2018 23:49

We hadn’t seen it before but binged it all over the last month or so. Amazingly strong female characters especially saga. Really loved how they tied up the loose ends

NotdeadyetBOING · 02/07/2018 13:41

I am totally in love with Henrik.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 02/07/2018 14:32

Henrik came across as so tender and caring (and understanding) with Astrid that it was difficult to understand why his DW would have wanted to leave him.

MrsFring · 02/07/2018 14:41

I have a home-grown Saga, I hope she finds her Henrik one day.

NotdeadyetBOING · 02/07/2018 14:50

Oh, Mrs Fring, I do hope she does. I have found the series hugely helpful in terms of increasing my understanding of how life looks & feels for people like Saga. I gather the actress did incredibly in depth research prior to taking on the role.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 02/07/2018 15:02

Hope so too, MrsFring.

MrsFring · 02/07/2018 15:05

Thanks Boing. Yes, this show has been really helpful I think. My Saga is blonde and beautiful too, I need to find her a slightly damaged, handsome, beardy chap. Actually two, I'll keep one for myself.

Thanks, NewModel

Does anyone else think Hidden shares many of the production techniques of The Bridge? lots of shots of cars driving along long empty roads, especially the little causeway. Sub titles because we are so used to them in excellent scandi dramas, strong female characters etc. ?

I thought the last episode of The Bridge was just perfect. Waiting for the twist when it was all wrapped up too early, having the horrible feeling Saga might die (and that be the reason it was going to be the last episode ever) Henriks tenderness and human frailty. I shall imagine Saga continuing with her microbiology and becoming an academic, and re-establishing a relationship that works with Henrik.
DH still wants her car.

helzapoppin2 · 02/07/2018 18:26

MrsFring, I’ve got one of them! (Tall, handsome beardy chap in search of a Saga!) Only he doesn’t know it yet!

helzapoppin2 · 02/07/2018 18:36

Sorry, it is a perfect description of DS2!

MrsFring · 02/07/2018 19:22

Send him over! I'll pay postage and packing!
