Anyone else counting the hours 'til Friday? Saga banged up and stitched up for the murder of her evil mama; how will she cope? Come on Henrik, save our girl!

I was thinking today about her dying.

anonymice · 19/06/2018 22:00

:) but no, seriously. Maybe all three of them will go on the run knowing they cannot bring the perpetrator to justice, and thus not be able to go back to normal life?

HollowTalk · 19/06/2018 22:06

I think if Saga dies, she has to die willingly, so to speak, and die saving someone else's life. That person has to be Henrik's child, not Henrik, because it's all about children, isn't it? I still think it would've got out if Saga died.

If they went on the run, there could be another series - I think they've closed that door.

Gah! If she dies I'll be distraught.

My money is on her taking on Henrik's daughter because Henrik has died.

It's been such a fantastic series. So many people should be incredibly proud of themselves - the actors, the scriptwriters, the cinematographers, The Choir of Young Believers. All of them have been amazing.

StripySocksAndDocs · 19/06/2018 23:18

I've not been able to watch until this week. Just watch 1-6 in the last few days.

Why did I not wait? I now have to wait!!!

I've no theories, it's totally wide open for me!! I could believe it was Saga.at this point. Clueless!!

VanillaSugar · 20/06/2018 06:30

Oh, I'm so tempted to google!!!

AvonCallingBarksdale · 20/06/2018 06:38

This thread is keeping me sane and is literally the only thing stopping me from googling Grin. Loving all the theories. It’s been a long time since a programme has had this much effect on me, probably because I can identify with some of Saga’s traits. From the start of series 1 it’s just been such a fantastic watch, really don’t want it to end.

HollowTalk · 20/06/2018 10:35

Avon, were you on here when we were all watching The Killing? Those threads were amazing.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 20/06/2018 10:53

No and, amazingly, I haven’t seen the Killing Shock. Perhaps that’ll satisfy my craving post-Saga. We travelled over The Bridge a few years ago - literally the highlight of that holiday for me Grin

HollowTalk · 20/06/2018 11:24

Oh you have a HUGE treat in store for you! I'm jealous! That was the pre-cursor to The Bridge - the writers of The Bridge say it's what forced them to up their game.

I've tried to find The Guardian blog for The Killing - it's really good, but as they do the blog for all three seasons, it's hard to find the original.

Bear in mind you will have to have a whiteboard for The Killing - you will never ever remember everything without one!

outnumbered77 · 20/06/2018 13:10

I would love to travel over the bridge Avon Smile

MrsFring · 20/06/2018 15:10

The Killing 1 was a masterpiece; fabulous characterisation and had real heart to it. Plus, I guessed the murderer straight away, go me! One added bonus to the wonderful Bridge is that I can keep up reasonably well and have plenty of theories. Dh, Oxford grad that he is, completely flounders; I have to keep pausing it to explain what's going on. So gratifying!

How many episodes left?

TimeIhadaNameChange · 21/06/2018 14:18

2, Scooby

ScoobyGangMember · 21/06/2018 16:23

Oh good. I feared it might be just 1. Thanks.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 21/06/2018 18:22

When Henrik was being curt towards Saga I said to DH I know he's upset but I really don't like him being so cold towards her. Sad
To which DH said, what if all this time Henrik has been guilty of shattering his family - maybe in the long run Saga will be glad they are no longer a couple. Shock

MrsFring · 21/06/2018 21:13

At least your DH knows what's going on Donkeys, I have to virtually draw a diagram every week for mine.

Grin
HollowTalk · 21/06/2018 21:17

Yes, I saw another side to Henrik and have to say I wondered if his wife had run away from him.

MrsFring · 21/06/2018 21:48

Oh please don't let Henrik be a bad'un, I love him! He's reliably kind to interviewees and Lillian loves him... I'm prepared to discover that he was work-obsessed and neglected Alice but no further than that, please!

What pattern does Saga repeat ? Her therapist asked her to think about it. Is it that she tries to fix things that cannot be fixed ? I cannot work out what the therapist was getting at. Saga does not really put herself first. She gives everything to others.

HollowTalk · 21/06/2018 22:01

Can you remember what Saga was saying before her therapist said that? I remember thinking, "Ohhh need to think about that" but then I couldn't remember! I should take notes.

anonymice · 21/06/2018 22:08

She was telling the therapist about her abortion and how she was going to fond Henrik's daughters and that would put it all right.

basquiatfan · 22/06/2018 07:41

Saga is always the rescuer. That is how she relates to other people, that is the pattern in her relationships.
She rescued her sister from her parents.
As a police officer she is a rescuer.
She now wants to rescue Henrik's daughters.

anonymice · 22/06/2018 08:45

Yes. Thank you for explaining it. She doesn't think about herself at all. So will she recognise the pattern before it is too late ?

basquiatfan · 22/06/2018 09:23

Of course I may not be right about Saga's pattern of relating but that is how I see it. If she sees what she is doing she may be able to change it. How that would work in the story I don't know.
