I find Tom frustrating and seem to completely agree with Rachel. He is a bit of a man child, it'd drive me up the wall to be with someone with such little ambition and who lacks an opinion on anything 😬

I've dated men like him before and ran for the hills after 1-2 dates because I couldn't take the passive attitude any longer!

I can’t believe I’ve just found this thread, I love this programme! Tony is TV gold, was it last week when he flounced off sobbing when they were at the market and his partner was ? He just needs to come out and then everyone can crack on with their lives.

Tom seems like quite a sweet guy and it’s a shame they are so adamant he has to change. If you marry someone who is a barman, you can’t then decide it’s not good enough for you and you should have married one of those doctors or lawyers you used to date. She seems to have ample time to get her own career going.

George is absolutely awful I’m 52 and his ideas on women were out of date when I was his age 😲😗 the rest are just with completely the wrong people . I’d love to ask Rachel why did you have a baby with a man that is so dissatisfying to you ??? I think you should have hooked up with one of your dr/ lawyer boyfriends , maybe though you weren’t actually good enough for them . I agree Tom needs to have a bit more get up & go but I’m not sure he’ll change whilst he’s with Rachel 🤔. The rugby player needs a different type of wife too as she needs a much more supportive type husband . He has emotionally checked out from her .

I don’t think counselling works like that though does it? The counsellor can’t literally say to Tom ‘yes but what do you want to change about Rachel?’ He has to get verbalise it himself but unfortunately he’s just not able to, maybe he’s never been that sort of guy (in which case why did she marry him) or she’s knocked it out of him (not literally obvs).

I genuinely don’t understand why Rachel & her DH both seem to think Rachel is out of his league .... ok so he’s not ambitious, but I’m not aware Rachel is exactly a high flyer herself? Or is she?

I think it’s unsettled her seeing the photos of him with Michelle, who let’s face it is a physically very attractive woman.

But respect to Rachel for how she’s dealing with George!
