It's that Homeland time of year again

It feels so long ago that poor Weaselly Quinn met his maker that I had to Wiki what happened last season. We were left with an easily-led Madame President, an assassination plot, Saul in prison, Quinn dead in a Jeep and Carrie's distraught face working on overtime.

But it's back! Feb 11th US which I reckon means Feb 18th UK (although last year Channel 4 didn't tell us till about a minute before kick-off, despite my pathetic emailing). . Yay!

She kept falling asleep and felt really bad. Which might have helped with the anguished and troubled acting.

I'd post the link to the Colbert interview, but I don't want to be accused of posting spoilers. 😜

Hassled · 29/04/2018 20:29

Blimey, the pregnancy was well hidden.

We're perilously close to the end of this season's madness, which means things will really be ramping up. I'm looking forward to more Scooby Gang action.

Scooby Gang - yes, Saul did say to Carrie he wanted her 'team'.

Saw Mandy Patinkin on Stephen Colbert the other night. Far too short an interview but worth watching.

Sadly low on SaulSnacksâ„¢ tonight. Don't have vodka to match the Russian operation so will resort to gin.

dancemom · 29/04/2018 20:57

Already ate my Saul Snacks, hope this episode is action packed to distract me!

dancemom · 29/04/2018 21:07

Daaaaaaaaaaaar!

Cocolepew · 29/04/2018 21:15

Blimey Clint didn't need to be tortured to give up info.

Travelledtheworld · 29/04/2018 21:22

Signed in. No snacks tonight. And I am very nervous.

Cocolepew · 29/04/2018 21:33

Oh dear Shock
Loving the Russian with the pantomime eyebrows.

Travelledtheworld · 29/04/2018 21:39

Eyebrow guy, yes he's a real stereotyped baddie !

Travelledtheworld · 29/04/2018 21:42

Carrie to Saul
" you've given me a f***g hard time over the last four years....." MASSIVE LOL

Whichoneisit · 29/04/2018 22:01

I can’t watch!

Japril · 29/04/2018 22:02

I am on a slight delay and I am bricking it!

Whichoneisit · 29/04/2018 22:06

Relieved it’s ended there. Don’t think my heart could have taken anymore. Is the finale next week?

DispatchReady · 29/04/2018 22:06

Ooh another good very tense episode apart from:

The poor guy from Carrie's crew who died - none of them seemed to give a shit!

Where did they get the wigs from??

dancemom · 29/04/2018 22:10

Ooohhhhh that was good, yes next week is the finale

Hassled · 29/04/2018 22:23

I had a delayed start due to insane relatives ringing at 8.50 to talk at some length about people I don't know but blimey, that was so good. Loved the Simone wig switch at the end. Dubious as to the likelihood of that level of US surveillance of central Moscow in real time. Great to see Dar back, as ambiguous as ever (is he good? is he evil?). Homeland - you haven't let me down. My faith did waver, I have to admit, but they've pulled it back.

Was a great episode - back to true Homeland form. Wonder how the season will end? Will Keene be made president again? Is that even possible?

HalleLouja · 29/04/2018 22:29

I love Dar. Loved the episode but mainly the fact Dar was in it. One more episode to go.

Cocolepew · 29/04/2018 22:30

I hope Sen Paley and his COS get their comeuppance.

Hassled · 29/04/2018 22:45

Yes, Clint crumbled like a digestive biscuit. A slightly snarky woman asks him a question and that's it, he tells all. He'll crumble again, I reckon.

OP posts:
AllPowerfulLizardPerson · 29/04/2018 22:48

Presumably Simone will reveal that her case officer was the COS? Which is why Paley was the UI - completely under her thumb.

NellMangel · 29/04/2018 22:53

Oooh very good.

So next week they'll have to try to escape from Russia. Eek.

It's probably best if Keane isn't allowed back, they've done such an extreme character development on her. From grieving war mom, to power hungry dictator. Maybe VP is the best bet.

I hope Ansen doesn't die.

MamOfTwo · 29/04/2018 23:06

Oooooooooh. Roll on next Sunday!

TammyWhyNot · 29/04/2018 23:37

Oh no! I missed the Simone Wig Switch: what happened? Oh, you mean they put her in a Carrie wig?

Carrie is so much better edging round a 4th floor ledge than being a SAHM.

Lweji · 30/04/2018 00:44

My question is, do you think Putin would put up with all that mess in the middle of Moscow?
