J'adore this series. All the old faithful's are back in action.

Can't wait. Saturday 30th December. Channel Four.

It's the last two episodes this weekend but they are filming the seventh series now.

Huge thanks to the poster who provided the Dead Beautiful tipoff! Very long episodes and a lot of the same ingredients that makes Spiral so terrific.

Also, The whole Spiral series from the very beginning has been brilliant (worth buying on DVD for those who haven't caught it previously). The behaviour of all characters makes a lot more sense if you've known them from day one (as it were).

bootican could you find dead beautiful on catch-up TV? I couldn't much to my frustration.

Mind if I join? Been lurking for a while.
Apart from the suddenly giant Romi I've also been amused by how totally obvious the team are whenever they are tailing suspects...remember this though also being a feature of previous series!!
Also on the Spiral checklist is whether JP (oldish flic on a motorbike) is going to be given a line of dialogue in an episode or not...hopefully he's not paid by the word

We also cheer when JP gets to speak!

There's some poor sod in CID who gets all the shit jobs too. Anyway, I'm.looking forward to tonight's episodes.

To clear up the Bremont back story: Laure got together with him in series 4. Initially, she only started flirting with him to distract him so she could get at some evidence he had in his office - surprise surprise - to get Gilou off the hook for some dodgy behaviour. (anyone seeing a theme here? )

But she actually found that she liked him, so they had quite a decent relationship by Laure's standards, although it was a bit on-offy.

Then, in series 5, Sami returned and she was seeing them both for a while - there was a bit of doubt about Romy's paternity, I think, but I guess dates must have checked out in Bremont's favour because they don't seem to have done any DNA testing.

Clearly Laure/Bremont is dead in the water, but I like him and think he's a much better bet relationship-wise than Gilou. But what can you say? Le coeur wants what le coeur wants...

(And yes, I have watched every series of Spiral several times .)

I'm sick with anxiety for M. le Juge. I can't cope if he gets written out. I'm hoping a theory I saw on the Guardian Spiral blog might hold water - about his first visit to the hospital, when the receptionist called him 'M. Robin' and he corrected her. Could his notes have been mixed up with someone else's? I mean, clearly he is ill, but perhaps not that ill?

I'm getting excited about tonight! We finally find out what happens.

But stablegenius he had a biopsy after that didn't he? Think there might be more than one death to finish the season 😢

I too am concerned about M. Le Juge. If he does die, I'd like him for have a little happiness first but suspect he wouldn't know how to deal with it.

So everyone is still alive. But so sad...poor Gilou standing there waiting.

I have to tell you brainwashed I got into a French discussion site about series 6 and someone was discussing spoilers saying that Gilou's had committed suicide due to the Camaraderie finding out about the gold. So I was fully prepared for his demise only to see him clutching a giant panda instead. I mean honestly - running for the hills Laure? She hasn't even had an exploding nappy yet.
