Who’s with me??
So excited!!!!!

OP posts:
jimmyjammyjumbo · 12/12/2017 10:50

I was on the edge of my seat through that as I kept expecting a Glen like scene and actually nothing really happened, Rick escaped and we didn’t even see how, Maggie just went back to the hill top and Carl was bitten but we didn’t even see it.

I still love the show and the characters but this series has been a bit long winded and then when there was finally a chance for some action we don’t see it (how did they even get out?) How did Carol know how to rescue Rick? It was all rushed and all over the place. I spent the whole time thinking the first scene was in the future and we’d find out how Rick was rescued and then he just turned up in Alexandria!

I also can’t believe they’d actually be that stupid to just branch off and change the plan and assume that they would escape. Also I used to love it when they all found each other again and came to the rescue but we hardly hear any dialogue anymore it’s all just moody and dark, close up shots etc. Maybe that how it would be.

I really hope Carl has a spectacular ending and doesn’t just die in a sewer.

Still going to miss it until next time though!Grin

BeyondAssignation · 12/12/2017 10:57

Two years is probably what I'm thinking of, it's a while since I read it Grin

Aha, yes - whisperers!! OBVIOUSLY!!

LiveLifeWithPassion · 12/12/2017 11:15

What do you mean Whisperers??

LiveLifeWithPassion · 12/12/2017 11:33

I just checked it out. Not what I was hoping for but sounds interesting

cushioncovers · 12/12/2017 11:44

Did the dumpster people abandon Rick in last nights episode just before Carole rocked up in the car?

MiddleClassProblem · 12/12/2017 12:53

Yeah they legged it.

What did you think the whisperers might be just out of curiosity? A good tribe?

LiveLifeWithPassion · 12/12/2017 14:59

Yes! I’m always hopeful Grin
I thought they’d be the helicopter people and have a thriving happy advanced community.

cushioncovers · 12/12/2017 18:11

Arrrh just realised when Coral gets bitten. Episode 6 when he and siddiq are fighting the walkers. It's so obvious now I've rewatched itSad

historyismything · 12/12/2017 21:02

Just caught up with it. I am so annoyed about Carl's death. Really think they need to get rid of Scott M Gimple. The whole show is pissing me off but I feel I need to watch to the end!

cushioncovers · 12/12/2017 22:55

Yeah Gimple needs to go. He takes himself far too seriously and seems to forget that without the fans and viewers the show is nothing. IMO

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 13/12/2017 00:38

Was quite funny when Rick and Negan were fighting and Rick said ‘don’t you ever stop talking?’ Exactly what we all think. Xmas Grin

Willow2017 · 13/12/2017 01:27

Gimple you did it again you utter arse. Telling Chandler he had 3 years contract then sacking him off for ratings, what a bastard.

I think this time it may have backfired on you your are too smug for your own good.

There is so much Carl could have contributed in future episodes but Gimple has thrown it all away. Still love the show but they need to get out this flux and get back to the family all pulling together no matter what.

Chandler was awesome tonight, I hope they realise what a great asset they just threw away. Cant believe they were allowed to do that, where the fuck were you Kirkman?

yumyumpoppycat · 13/12/2017 07:49

That is pretty shitty, apparently CR had just bought a house near where they film. So what happens do they have to pay him off to end the contract?

cherrytree63 · 13/12/2017 09:00

My daughter was heavily into the horror genre as a teenager.
She pestered and pestered me to watch her TWD DVDs.
I agreed to watch one episode.
Watched series one and two in one sitting!

A bit of speculation...
My son says we never actually saw the Guvn'r die, anyone know if that's true?
Imagine if that's him in the helicopter?
Would he take sides or war against Negan and Rick?
If he picked a side, would it be Rick because he knows first hand what Rick can do?
Or Negan because he hates Rick (and Michonne)?

Mustang27 · 13/12/2017 09:03

Everything @Willow2017 says.

I liked Scott Gimple up until last episode not managed to watch td yet think he is a guest he has some answering to do.

There were so many other bloody routes they could have chosen to take Carl. Im thinking I'd rather have seen Andy go than Carl. It's getting a bit two dimensional fired up Rick then broken Rick and on and on it goes. Bit limp. Liked the episode though it was confusing at points and absolutely hate that closing in to the characters faces what's that about?

kippersandkittens · 13/12/2017 09:04

I'm sure he did die? I seem to recall someone chopped his head off...Michonne? Might be wrong though Hmm

Mustang27 · 13/12/2017 09:09

Tara's sister shoots him after Michonne stabs him in the chest with her sword as him and rick were fighting. I think michonne leaves him for dead as there is a tonne of walkers about.

BeyondAssignation · 13/12/2017 09:11

Governor was stabbed by michonne and shot by, umm, the woman whose name I can't remember. Not decapitated, but I'm pretty sure he is dead

Willow2017 · 13/12/2017 09:44

Yes gov definately died at the prison.

Wonder who is in the helicopter though? Hopefully not more trouble i would like a little calm after the storm please to rebuild and regroup.

Willow2017 · 13/12/2017 09:54

mustang he just waffled as usual. Praising writers and Chandler bloody hypocrite.

Khary was full of praise for both Carl and Chandler and how they 'both' have grown and Chandler's acting ability. Gimple didnt look happy.
Chandler is on the 2nd half season premier TD but have to wait till feb for that.

cushioncovers · 13/12/2017 10:05

I'm really hoping the ending eventually will show Rick as an old man telling his grand kids (Judith's kids?)the stories through the episodes when walkers are contained and the cure is known.

And now we all have wait ages for the mid season break! getting interesting though!

MiddleClassProblem · 13/12/2017 11:15

I think the saddest thing, as others have said, is that Chandler was all in and the decision wasn’t from him, nothing to do with college etc. But hopefully this will be good for his career and that will be seen as his child acting job and he’ll be allowed to be an adult actor rather than Carl forever with no one else wanting him after.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Andrew decided to finish in a season or two and come back to the UK to work and be with his family.

cushioncovers · 13/12/2017 11:48

If Rick goes then I'm done. It will a sad day but I'm sure something else will come al to catch my interest. For me nothing beats the first couple of series.
