I mean Enid 🤦🏽‍♀️

MiddleClassProblem · 11/12/2017 23:54

Why did I keep calling her Edith? My brain is small from moving house

yumyumpoppycat · 12/12/2017 00:08

Agree that Carl was bitten when releasing walkers with Siddique. At first I thought he was running away to try making decisions for himself because he couldn't cope with Rick's methods; so it was a good twist. In the walker scene in previous episode where he was probably bitten I did think how did he a) get into that situation and b)escape without being bitten; so in a way it is kind of good that he was bitten. In series 1 we would have been expecting that as a twist.

Maybe they could burn the bite away, although he looks too far gone? Agree Coral was good in that episode.

wt arsing f was with all the bloody close ups with crappy 80s music when are they going to get over that.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/12/2017 00:09

I liked Beth it was a bit crap they killed her off.

ZacharyQuack · 12/12/2017 00:17

That was an episode that didn't make much sense.

Why didn't Rick have people watching the sanctuary? They all seemed to assume that the saviours wouldn't be able to escape.

The saviours escaped with enough people, vehicles and guns to launch a three-front attack.

I assume that Carl was bitten in the woods with Saddiq but the time frames are completely blurred.

Why the fuck didn't Rick scone Negan with the bat when he had a chance.

Negan's said he wants The King, The Widow and Rick alive, so why did Simon let Maggie go? Why didn't the Saviours go to the Hilltop?

Maggie had 40 people in a wire sheep pen, why aren't they escaping?

I'm not sure if I'll bother next season, this one was such a waste of time. They need all new writers and directors, because the ones they have are pretty crap at telling a coherent story.

Chimichangaz · 12/12/2017 00:18

Nope, sorry Poppy but Gimple said in Talking Dead that Carl will die in the next ep. He said he's still got stuff to do though so whether that's messing with Negan I don't know. As he's dying of course.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/12/2017 00:20

They did seem to have an inordinate amount of armed capable people not just workers, where did they all come from? I am ready for the whole Negan thing to be over.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/12/2017 00:22

Ah ok that's a shame Chimi.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/12/2017 00:25

Hopefully he will have a really amazing episode and go out with a bang. Not a Carl fan at ALL but a bit disappointed he is being finished before Comic Book Carl.

yumyumpoppycat · 12/12/2017 00:25

Wonder if Daryl will take over Carl stories?

MiddleClassProblem · 12/12/2017 00:29

Rick had people watching the sanctuary as they were still meant to be surrounded by walkers. He took Jadis there to see it but because the others went rogue and let the walkers in, the saviours got out.

MiddleClassProblem · 12/12/2017 00:32

I’m a bit disappointed that we won’t see the Carl/Negan chats from the comics though. I like the way it lays with your empathy/likability for characters.

TheDrsDocMartens · 12/12/2017 05:14

It threw me as I was expecting the comic book story for him. Don’t think anyone else could carry off that relationship.

LiveLifeWithPassion · 12/12/2017 07:09

I think the show is going to lose more viewers after this. I think they lost a lot after Glenn.
The group is so fractured now, with all these other groups involved that it’s hard for viewers to really engage with it.
So much of it doesn’t make sense. Like the plan that just failed. Wouldn’t Rick have taken charge of more instead of having a fight with Daryl and then traipsing off on his own to those stupid trash people? It was such a crucial time in their plan and he just left to do something a bit pointless.
The plots are so flawed and the editing is rubbish.

Ikeameatballs · 12/12/2017 07:10

I felt a bit meh about that episode. I'm getting bored of Negan and his henchmen. The character I'm most interested in is Eugene, has he turned back to help Rick and the Alexandrians after all? I think he will be important in the next episodes.

MinorRSole · 12/12/2017 07:24

The saviours talk too much

TheDrsDocMartens · 12/12/2017 07:28

I think Eugene is staying with the saviours as he thinks it’s safer but his conscience is pushing him to help the Dr/Maggie etc.
Abes death must have affected him and then how brave Sasha was means he’s rethinking ( subconsciously?) his position,

Chimichangaz · 12/12/2017 08:09

Agree that Negan is getting tedious. And why the hell didn't Rick off him when he had Lucille?

It's a real shame about Carl, I hope he does go out in spectacular fashion, but I guess we have to expect that main characters will die, what with it being all out war.

I'm still fascinated by the show - I find it popping into my head at odd times, like on the tube when I look at other passengers and wonder how good they'd be if I ended up in a group with them in a zombie apocalypse Confused

LiveLifeWithPassion · 12/12/2017 08:20

I’m still hoping that Carl will find he’s immune or the helicopter people have a cure.....

LiveLifeWithPassion · 12/12/2017 08:22

But if he does die, I hope they make the impact on Rick realistic. He’d be totally broken. The reaction to the bite was brilliant. Fab acting.

DispatchReady · 12/12/2017 09:16

So they promised a shock that you wouldn't believe? Meh...that was crap. Big build up to nothing really!

Once again I couldn't hear or see half of it and as I was watching different characters I was thinking well if they die I'm not too fussed, apart from Jerry!

Rick should have easily been able to whack Negan with Lucille and all the saviour threats and taking away guns etc has just been done to death now.

I'm off to listen to the Talking Dead podcast to see what they think about it and which to be honest I enjoy much more than the actual show these days!

In the comic (hope this isn't too spoilery, I won't go into detail!) there's a sort of "10 years later" bit. I've wondered all along how they were gonna manage that with corals age (as rather than being a teen he'd be mid twenties!) but I reckon I solved it now.
In the comic, Judith didn't survive. So I reckon that Judith might take over corals storyline...?

Either that or he's playing us like Jon bloody Snow...?

BeyondAssignation · 12/12/2017 09:56

"Yeah Jon Snow is totally dead and never coming back, and I'm totally not fibbing about it and secretly filming the next series"

MiddleClassProblem · 12/12/2017 10:28

I don’t remember a 10 years later bit. The story continues two years after the war with the saviours.

Judith will be two young to do Carl’s plots. It will be interesting to see who the use to do the plot with the introduction plot of the whisperers.
