We didn't see Carl get bitten. I feel a bit lost for words. Sad

cushioncovers · 11/12/2017 22:36

I agree I think Carl was already bitten

LiveLifeWithPassion · 11/12/2017 22:37

And when he spoke to Negan, it seemed he was already bitten. I loved that bit.

He was cover in blood when he and Siddiq were in the woods so it could easily have been then.

I wonder if the original plan may have worked.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/12/2017 22:42

Ah yes, forgot about the letters

1happyhippie · 11/12/2017 22:46

Oh yeah, the letter! I agree I think he was already bitten then.

It's sad really because we have watched Carl grow through the show, he was just a little boy back in the beginning and now a young man.
I thought he done a good job In the show, I know a lot of people didn't care for his character, but he has been through so much.
Imagine growing up in an apocalypse? Seeing all the people you love either die or turn, not to mention having to kill your own mother! While your going through your teenage years.
Poor kid.
Remember in the old man Rick scene a couple of weeks back, where we saw an older Judith and Rick, with michionne? There was a scene with Carl too, I'm guessing that was just a dream sequence now then 😭😭

twattymctwatterson · 11/12/2017 22:49

Cooooraaaaaalll! I Xmas Sad

Middleoftheroad · 11/12/2017 22:49

This interview with Chandler Riggs is quite insightful (CONTAINS SPOILERS)

Middleoftheroad · 11/12/2017 22:52

Carl's reveal was the only part of the show that I enjoyed.

Lots of mumbling, confusion, dark shots and boring 'here we go again with Negan'

MajesticWhine · 11/12/2017 23:01

The end was a relief because something happened. Sad about Carl but my guess is he will kill Negan or do something useful before he dies so looking forward to seeing how that plays out.
Generally though it's been rubbish. Enough plot for 1 or 2 episodes stretched out to 8?

I don’t like the feelings of misery and hopelessness that are left with me after watching this series now. There aren’t any highs or anything positive. There used to be hope and glimpses of some future happiness but it’s far too bleak for me now.

Chimichangaz · 11/12/2017 23:12

When he introduced siddiq he said something like 'that's when it happened' Sad

Feel sad about Carl. I have a teenage ds myself so am extra aware of emotions with sons (before anyone shouts at me yes I know you love your daughters just as much! I just feel specially connected with sons) We didn't see him much this season though. And, at least it wasn't Lucille Shock

Didn't shout at the tv as much tonight as I did last week when I wanted Rick to kill Jadis Angry

Seems more positive than when they were all locked in that container at Terminus. We had to wait months before seeing Carol blast her way in.

I’m sure most have ended on a pretty strong cliff hanger. Can’t recall any positive ones but they were probably too boring to stick if they happened.

I cried when Beth died was that a series end? I think I may have been preggo then so that’s my excuse...

LiveLifeWithPassion · 11/12/2017 23:30

I think Maggie and Glenn were always a sign for a hopeful future. Daryl always saved the day. I know he’s done that a bit still but he hasn’t been the same since his capture. Rick knew they were strong and always came out well in the end.
Im a lightweight and I like to feel good about what I watch.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/12/2017 23:39

If Daryl hadn’t been affected by his capture then it would have been pointless. Is listening to that song on repeat had to have consequences 😂

deadringer · 11/12/2017 23:40

I thought tonight was confusing and boring, too much going back and forth between different groups I couldn't engage with it at all. I loved the earlier seasons but I think I am nearly ready to give up on it now.

Yeah I know. I just want them to win again!
I should just stick to romcoms probably.

LiveLifeWithPassion · 11/12/2017 23:46

I loved the interaction between Daryl and carol too but I don’t think there’s been much of that either?

MiddleClassProblem · 11/12/2017 23:51

Yeah, even Rick and Michonne don’t have much chemistry at the mo. This plotting business has taken away from the close relationship scenes. You just feel they are just doing it to get it done rather than because they want to save each other out of love.

MiddleClassProblem · 11/12/2017 23:52

I hope Jerry’s alright...

MiddleClassProblem · 11/12/2017 23:53

We haven’t even mentioned Edith killing Grandma sternpants
