Thats Carol to a tee. She only fights to protect people she cares about. She would never abandon someone she cares about if she can save them.

Love badass Jerry he just brings a smile every time he is on screen.

I think things are going to be very hard for Ezekiel now. He needs to get his mojo back maybe Carol will give him a good talking to. 😀 but i suspect things wont be the same he will carry too much guilt.

I find american tv hard to hear at the best of times but for twd i have the volume way up and rewind sometimes to hear what they say. Must be getting deaf in my old age😉

I love Daryl too, and never used to have a problem understanding him. I don't know whether his mumbling is getting worse or whether I used to subconsciously reply on lip reading and now his face is perpetually covered by his hair that doesn't work.

This weeks episode was an improvement on the previous two but what’s with all the flashbacks this season? Are they incapable of just telling a story without veering off into randomness. DH and I are struggling with this series and I think it’s because they’re are trying to be too clever with the filming style. Just tell the damn story and stop with the floaty dream sequences and crap!

Ezikiel owed it to his people at the end to address them. Even if he had decided on a self demotion. That was bad. Bad King ship

I remember for the first few series, I struggled to keep up with the WD threads and there were several new ones every 4-5 episodes. How things have changed

(Reflection of the show by the way, not the lack of input from watchers.)

I liked this episode, well it was the best one in this season so far. Only complaint I have is that shiva is gone oh and the walkers were nice enough not to catch up when the various characters were stopping and starting to have meaningful dialog
I use the subtitles when watching, otherwise I would have the volume up full blast and have to rewind a lot!

I did wonder if it was just me that turned the tv volume up an extra 10 to watch TWD.

I'm still enjoying it. Maybe knowing where it is potentially heading from the comics helps?

When watching I am always saying to DP "Turn it up" then the next morning I put the TV on and it blasts out! Feel better knowing it's not me going deaf!
I have not watched the last two episodes(busy and maybe I just do not feel that pull to watch as much) however we do like to save them up so we can watch a few at once!
I know I should not be reading this thread as I have not watched but can't help it lol(and I get too far behind otherwise)

Yes they all bloody mumble. Apart from ezekiel obviously. I can't believe he was a zoo worker, though it does explain the tiger. Dh and I decided he was an English teacher. Fits much better.

Mumbling seems to be the standard for all tv programs these days.

Yes or having background music which interferes with the speech. They do it on our local radio news, background music which repeatedly builds up to a loud crescendo. Cos hearing two thirds of the words is enough.

I currently think this is the weakest season yet and it had better get better or I'm giving up, I wasn't that keen on S7 but ploughed through hoping for a better S8.

I don't like the jumping back and forth and there's not enough Darryl or Jesus. I just want a story I can follow and not think too hard about - I don't watch TWD for intellectual stimulation.

There was a lot of intellectual stimulation in the beginning. I loved it for the questions it raised.
Now it’s all about shitting pants and guns.
