Who’s with me??
So excited!!!!!

OP posts:

I only meant intellectual stimulation in the fact that I now can't follow the bloody story - 4 episodes in and not so much as a story arc!

LiveLifeWithPassion · 16/11/2017 12:55

I agree. It’s just messy at the moment. There’s no flow.
Even shiva getting killed annoyed me from a plot perspective. How could a powerful fast animal like her not get away from these slow dithering walkers?
I love Negan as a character and can’t wait for him to be brought down. That’s keeping me watching for the time being.

MiddleClassProblem · 16/11/2017 13:16

I’m supposed people thing it’s the worst season. Do they not tenner season 2 and looking for bloody Sophia?

MiddleClassProblem · 16/11/2017 13:21

Surprised not supposed 🤦🏽‍♀️

CaptainBrickbeard · 16/11/2017 17:15

Middle, I LOVED season 2. But, DH and I watched the first five seasons in box sets so we didn't have to wait a week between episodes so I never got frustrated with long drawn out plot lines. We seriously considered waiting til this season is over and then watching it to see if it improves it but I don't think we'd manage to avoid spoilers. I can imagine getting annoyed in Season 2 if you were watching week by week, but bingeing it was amazing!

MiddleClassProblem · 19/11/2017 15:44

Checking in because I lost you all and then I’m ready for when I catch up on Tuesday

RaininSummer · 19/11/2017 18:11

Four episodes in and still quite bored with it. Just endless shooting and no bloody dialogue.

CaptainBrickbeard · 20/11/2017 22:14

Plenty of dialogue tonight! I liked it. And what could the helicopter be?!

Chimichangaz · 20/11/2017 22:32

Am amazed at the lack of posts about tonight! Was a time the thread would be on fire during and after!

I liked tonight’s, although I’ve liked all of this season so far. Much more interesting in terms of character development. Watched a bit of talking dead too and one of the guests suggested Simon was the original sanctuary boss that Negan took over from. That talk about ‘are we backsliding?’ Interesting tension between Rick and Daryl too. Eugene still pisses me off.

But not looking forward to the return of the slum people next week.

TheDrsDocMartens · 20/11/2017 22:50

Helicopter was freaky to see. Almost like a mirage.

TeamRick · 20/11/2017 23:05

I really enjoyed tonight’s episode!

Lots going on, bit of insight in to Neegan!

I might have to watch it again! 😬

MargotLovedTom1 · 20/11/2017 23:41

It's dragging so much. Was that a Stig of the Dump fella at the end? I can be doing not with their speaking way Wink.

LiveLifeWithPassion · 21/11/2017 07:25

I’m intrigued by the helicopter! I hope there’s a good storyline there.

I enjoyed this episode too. The interactions between characters was good, especially between Rick and Daryl.

I hate those slum/garbage people. The leader is just irritating so not looking forward to more of that.

Miauu · 21/11/2017 08:27

Bit of a long shot, but could the helicopter be a link with FWD?

Agree that Simon was the last Sanctuary boss. Think that’s lining up Rick as the next Sanctuary boss. All out war has been one big alpha male showdown to be head of an enlarged group.

titsbumfannythelot · 21/11/2017 10:11

What did Gabriel say at the end, despite watching several times I couldn’t make out a word.

Miauu · 21/11/2017 10:27

Something like...

“Dr Carson, that’s Maggie’s Doctor, you’ve got to get him out of here, away from what’s coming.”

Maybe he’s been bitten, and plans to do a bit of a Sasha?

titsbumfannythelot · 21/11/2017 13:16

Ahh. I must admit I’m not enjoying this season quite so much.

I think Gabe is just sick fromt the guts, he did the famous last words bit when Negan mentioned it and let’s face it, he’s still as weak as shit. If you were paired up with him on a raid you would be concerned about carrying dead weight.

I liked the Negan bits. I know his background from his own comic to come as they put it online.

Wonder what Eugene will do about Dwight.

Chopper better be someone good too.

MiddleClassProblem · 21/11/2017 16:38

I also forgot to say that I think this is all Eugene turning back to an Alexandrian. I doubt he will use the info he has now on Dwight and the way Gabe was letting him in fod Negan’s trust. Whether he will bite his tongue or just do something about it I’m not sure. I think he needs the ghost of Abe to appear and give him some motivation 😂

jimmyjammyjumbo · 21/11/2017 19:06

I don’t like the way the old gang is all split up now, Maggie on the hilltop, Carol in the Kingdom, Eugene, Rick etc. It all feels a bit rushed this season, usually we see a big build up for an explosive couple of episodes this just feels like they’ve literally gone in all guns a blazing and it all passes in a flash with out much substance.
I agree Shivas death was a bit unnecessary and upsetting (it’s like Bambi all over again!) she surely would have got out.
It was good to get a bit more of an insight into Negan. I wonder if Gabe was bitten? I hope Eugene swaps sides again.
I’m also turning the tv right up to hear Darryl and Rick and then back down when the guns go off! I still can’t wait to watch it each week but it’s not gripping me like normal. Still love it as a show though. Just miss some of the old dynamics -Maggie&Glen, Darryl&Carol, Rick&Michonne, Abe&Sasha

Chimichangaz · 21/11/2017 19:48

Read an interview today with Norman Reedus where he said Daryl goes even more rogue, and the gang also gets split up quite a bit. There was another feature which was about Negan, which said it was Dwight who first found him and invited him to join the gang, and that he was the first leader (Dwight)

Will try and find the link.

Chimichangaz · 21/11/2017 19:50

Here it is. Info about Negan via the link at the bottom of the page
