when i watch an episode i find myself emulating the phrases, yes, no, absolutely.
exactly
What I mean is this

stonecircle · 10/10/2017 17:55

If someone at home offers me a cup of tea/coffee etc, I've started saying, "No - I had don't want that"

Elendon · 10/10/2017 18:54

We love Hollywood.

But not Paul.

The80sweregreat · 11/10/2017 11:42

It is fun talking as they all do!
i am so glad that Will did get a celeb to do the ME thing, even if he had no idea who Huge Grant was!
I feel sorry for Will, the others ( apart from Izzy ) are horrible to him.
the man who said ' i want to put a hammer through the new technology' was also funny.

The80sweregreat · 11/10/2017 11:43

Hugh rather. not Huge. grrr

Had to rewind to confirm the utterly blissful gag of the wording on the wall that Anna walked into : ' transparency'

Well meaning but twerpish junior staff members that I come across are now always 'will the intern'. And isn't that the actor who is also Prince William in 'the windsors'?

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/10/2017 17:19

Transparency! Very good! I missed that one.

Such little gems throught the shows, e.g.

Lovely David: What am I like?! (heading outside to do his 'Me' item)
Will: I dunno. Yeah. Cool.

iklboo · 11/10/2017 18:01

Yes, Will was also Wills Wink

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 11/10/2017 20:38

will has always been my fave :)

even his lanyard makes me lol

kazzaD66 · 11/10/2017 21:24

Had to re-watch bits of it earlier esp the older bloke (forgotten his name, sorry! - Neil?) having a rant at the subtitles guy and then just despairing of Siobhan in every meeting and Ian saving it at the end whilst Sophie Raworth was trying to sign him off. Plus Anna walking into the window - I'd missed the 'Transparency' bit aswell but up there with the Del Boy leaning on the non-existent bar moment. Classic. So that's all good then Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/10/2017 21:26

I've got a lanyard!

We love lanyards.

iklboo · 11/10/2017 22:05

We have lanyards. Different colour ones. You get one colour if you've forgotten your pass and get a temporary one for the day. It's the Lanyard Of Shame.

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/10/2017 00:48

It's early Thursday morning and Iklboo has forgotten her pass and been given a temporary one with a different-coloured lanyard. She is wearing this Lanyard Of Shame in a shamefully shamefaced manner.

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 12/10/2017 01:04

its all good that we love lanyards.cool.

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 12/10/2017 01:07

(tosses hair, takes selfie)

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/10/2017 01:11

Fucksake

The80sweregreat · 12/10/2017 07:22

I'm not being funny or anything, but I prefer the blue lanyard. Just saying

iLoveSundaysMe · 12/10/2017 07:37

I have waited all my adult life to wear a lanyard, I have one....I feel like I’ve made it in so many ways....

Brilliant.

iLoveSundaysMe · 12/10/2017 07:38

I thought last episode was superb. I got the transparency thing. She is such a brilliant actor.

I can’t work out who is my favourite character. I think it might be Will.

The80sweregreat · 12/10/2017 08:02

Will has the best lines. 'cool, yeah, cool , got pictures of all the people i work with - dont know this guy though, cool'

Siobhan's duck selfies are also amusing - as well as the fact that she makes absolutely no sense at all. ' heres the thing, I get paid shed loads to talk rubbish'. Happening everywhere probably!

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 12/10/2017 08:32

i miss olivia colman's character though :)

yes. that's fine.no.no problem.

The80sweregreat · 12/10/2017 10:11

Olivia colman with the photocopier in twenty twelve - she was so funny.

CanIBuffalo · 12/10/2017 10:59

I think my lanyard's trying to kill me yeah?

I treat people in reception to a slapstick comedy treat on an almost daily basis with it.

DH messaged yesterday to say that their Head of Change had spent a full hour of their Team Meeting exhorting them to do exactly as they had always done. Grin

Spudlet · 12/10/2017 14:57

I just compiled a feedback document on a brochure (I do a bit of copy editing here and there) and I had to stop and go back through the whole thing because I'd unconsciously used some W1A-isms (Tone very good. Very strong...) Blush Grin

I think I got them all out in the end...!
