The voiceover makes this show - its very dead pan delivery of stupid things is hilarious.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 04/10/2017 11:10

The show gets better and better. I watched a new episode last night (is on iPlayer) but I won’t add any spoilers Grin
Lucy and Izzy are lovely. Who’s the camp man with the weird voice? Do people actually speak like that?!

The80sweregreat · 04/10/2017 11:26

lloydcole, love your username.. he does have an odd accent.
They are all very strange on this show , apart from Ian and Lucy - the chairs they have crack me up too ( they are awful) and having a meeting with Mary Berry's face behind you must be a tad unnerving too.
BBC ME - it could happen.

CanIBuffalo · 04/10/2017 13:38

We've had a change in the way that we provide services to clients in our work and I was trying to explain the changes to a group of clients that I know quite well this morning.
As a joke I said that the powers that be have found more ways of doing less, better and they all just nodded in agreement. Not one of them picked up on itSad but also 😂😂😂

Davros · 04/10/2017 17:00

I think Will will become a TV or BBC ME star. I think Izzie wants to support him but will probably do what's best for her career in the end, I.e. Screw people over. I hope not

stonecircle · 05/10/2017 21:17

Our meeting rooms at work are named after people. So whenever anyone says the equivalent of. 'Are we in Mary Berry?' everyone falls about laughing.

It's so close to the truth it's scary. DH wandered into the room when I'd just started watching 2012. He started tutting and saying OFGS. Until I said, 'you do know this is a spoof don't you?' A lifetime in the public sector and he thought it was a genuine documentary.....

StatueInTheSky · 05/10/2017 21:27

i've only seen the first two so far, still enjoying them, and was sniggering to myself .....watched them on a plane so trying really hard not to be LOLcrazylady

but

I did think they were over egging the parody just a little, I prefer the more subtle approach that leaves you thinking "is this actually documentary?" rather than "they are so ripping it out of the Beeb"

dh hasn't seen them yet, but I'll watch again with him.

Walnutwhiplash · 06/10/2017 08:10

Lovely DavidGrin

ShoesHaveSouls · 06/10/2017 09:56

Lovely David is lovely Rufus Jones. I luffs him. He was also Cosmo in Stag.

YesVeryGoodVeryStrong · 06/10/2017 10:09

It's amazing how with only a couple of things, like slicking back his hair, he can look so unattractive! Or maybe it's just his character making you think that. Because he is quite good looking normally!

They are all finely drawn in this show - you can see their motives and what they are thinking without them saying a great deal.

mumdebump · 09/10/2017 22:39

Gosh I hope Anna walking into the window was done in one take! Ouch!

stonecircle · 09/10/2017 22:40

I'm still wiping the tears away after tonight's episode. Who knew Sarah Parish could be so funny?!

Also loved the bloke (Neil?) talking to the techy person - 'would it help if I put a hammer through some of it? I'm including you in that'.

Just wonderful Smile

Spudlet · 09/10/2017 22:45

Yes, exactly, yes.

I think they are channeling more than one of my former bosses...

Optimist1 · 09/10/2017 22:52

Am I right in thinking that Will captured Tony on his video sequence??

Shenanagins · 09/10/2017 23:01

Love this, absolutely brilliant series.

stonecircle · 09/10/2017 23:05

Optimist - I thought it was Hugh Grant?!

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/10/2017 23:14

It was Hugh Grant.

The fact is, it is totally hilarious.

I won't lie, for me, it's the best thing on TV.

stonecircle · 09/10/2017 23:17

Yes, no, fabulous Bore - very clear.

BoreOfWhabylon · 09/10/2017 23:20

Hurrah!

furlinedsheepskinjacket · 10/10/2017 01:37

that's all good then

Optimist1 · 10/10/2017 06:50

Hugh Grant. Exactly.

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/10/2017 08:35

Lovely, lovely Hugh.

Slartybartfast · 10/10/2017 08:36
